  1. it's not necessarily that they're bad, it's that there are so many of them. they ruined it by making 15 of them for each game
  2. whatttt? i thought we dominated that period. i thought philly was a little better in the 1st. We outshot them 9-3 in the first. They had *nothing* going. neither did we
  3. almost makes up for the all those atrocious "history will be made" commercials. what is wrong with you the first 5 or so were cool. then they decided to do one for every single play of every single playoff game. no, i don't need to see patrick marleau scoring a rebound goal in reverse and half the time, the "what if ____" part doesn't even make sense. i saw one that said "what if toews stayed home?"/ why the [expletive] owuld toews have stayed home?

  6. i think toews is having a good game. the other 2, not so much. kane has just been atrocious
  7. brouwer needs to cool it or he should be the one to sit when/if ladd comes back. he got lucky earlier on a dirty hit (left his feet, obvious elbow to to the head) that probabyls hould have been a 5 minute major, and then takes a stupid penalty at a horrible time now. you can't play that stupid in the stanley cup finals
  8. announcers congratulating leighton for doing nothing....
  9. no, not even close. the blackhawks were shooting it wide or right into his chest. he didn't do [expletive] in fact, he's been giving up juicy rebounds all night so far
  10. he better defer some of that money to me if he wants me to forgive him for walking 7 guys in game 1 of the playoffs
  11. Kinda like what the Cubs did with Castro? no
  12. cashner needs innings as a starter. it's not about him being a reliever for a while. it's about him needing innings as a starter.
  13. i think we all know how this will go. in like his second or third outing, he'll walk a couple guys and lou will then use him only twice in the next 3 weeks. then when the cubs are out of it, they'll send him back to iowa to start and he'll be a mess.
  14. just saw that theriot has a .630 OPS holy [expletive]
  15. throwaway comment in fact, he complimented wrigley right before he stated the obvious (that the field itself is a pos)
  16. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=530503 says pain begins at 125 decibals, and the UC was at 115-121 during the national anthem.
  17. my three stars for the game would have to be hossa, kopecky, and versteeg. steeger's blind pass to kopecky on the game winner was pretty nasty, and hossa/kopecky were just all over the ice all night. when/if ladd comes back, i think you've gotta stick with kopecky if he keeps playing this way. he's beasting right now.
  18. i would have never ever noticed that. pretty cool
  19. anybody know where i can watch highlights from the CBC broadcast? they are sooooo much better than NBC highlights
  20. those non-calls on the interference on hossa and the high stick on seabrook were just atrocious. they weren't even out of position. they were right on the plays and somehow missed them The high stick on Seabrook was a good non-call. They showed a great replay of it on CBC. Seabrook shot the puck in deep, and the follow-through from his shot pulled a Flyers' player's stick into his own face. i wish i could watch on CBC. :(
  21. yeah, i thought hossa was the best player on the ice tonight.
  22. really stupid question from that reporter. obviously he hasn't been paying attention to the hawks this postseason. btw, it's kopecky. no big deal, just a pet peeve

  24. And right he was. yeah, pulling niemi at that point would have been ridiculous on many levels. and niemi was really good in the 3rd, even though he didn't have to do a ton.
