  1. on the tv broadcast monday he was saying that the cardinals made the right decision on heyward, even though the cardinals tried to keep him.
  2. that ball looked like it was moving around between infielders
  3. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BNTI2NDk0NDA0MF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwODM1NDkwMjE@._V1_UX182_CR0,0,182,268_AL_.jpg
  4. that seemed wrong but i don't know enough about baseball rules to argue it
  5. i wonder if heyward could have made a play on that
  6. i had the sound muted and i can't believe that ball got into the water
  7. i mean, did you read my posts? i wondered if we'd eventually be looking at somebody, because we're going to be in the playoffs, and it would make sense to load up as much as possible. of course we don't need anybody, and staying in house is the most reasonable option. but if they can find a nice corner outfielder for a decent price, then why not? but yeah, all i did was wonder if they'd be looking at a safer bet for an everyday player, since i already thought they might be looking at an upgrade for left field around the deadline. this is a conversation with the playoffs in mind when we want to roll out the most stacked lineup possible. Making moves for the playoffs is kind of a fool's errand true, but if we have a front office that is great at finding good value through trades, and we don't have a lot of places to upgrade, then why not?

  9. so if soler ends up sucking like he does now, why wouldn't you see a point in trading for an outfielder? because we don't really need to spend assets acquiring a replacement for a guy who was playing pretty badly just because he's out for a month i could see your point if he were out for the season or something like i said, i think there's a good chance we want somebody in left field later in the season. i think our front office could find could find somebody who is likely to be better than soler/javy/szczur/seal going into the playoffs. plus then we'd get to keep bryant at third more, which is nice. i'm not saying i expect them to get somebody, i just kind feel like those 4 guys are likely to suck (seal is the one i'm most optimistic about) and we probably won't have many places to upgrade, so that might be an area we can load up on going into the playoffs. i'm not talking about a big player or anything, just a solid starter.
  10. if soler and javy suck at the plate, there will be a point. Soler frankly can't really suck any worse than he has, and Javy doesn't need to be good at the plate because he's amazing on defense. so if soler ends up sucking like he does now, why wouldn't you see a point in trading for an outfielder?
  11. I imagine they'll ride Rat Boy and Javy in a platoon at third with Bryant in LF and Soler in RF. Szczur will be back soon too. Not much point in a rental. if soler and javy suck at the plate, there will be a point.
  12. if it's more than a month, i wonder if they'll start looking for a rental outfielder. there's a good chance they'll want one at the deadline anyways (i don't have much faith in soler or javy as starters).
