  1. imagine javy taking a walk like that when only needing a triple for the cycle
  2. that did not look like it was hit that hard off the bat
  3. holy crap the caps actually won
  4. it's so funny that we got one of the best cubs pitchers of all time out of that dempster trade
  5. i obviously don't know how the DL works. why isn't it retroactive to the 2nd?
  6. kb is going to be a hall of famer if he can bring the 40 hr power back while keeping these contact skills
  7. why is it only retroactive to the 4th?
  8. really the problem is i have really bad ocd problems with sports and also i am a bratty child when it comes to sports (and life)
  9. it hurts you because part of you is scared it's all true
  10. seriously were you always like this? i dont remember you always being like this but i'm not sure. i just was not ready for the cubs to be this depressing this year
  11. yeah well it looked like we were still loaded after the ws. 18 months later and there's mediocrity everywhere mediocrity everywhere = 3 wins from a world series and a month of above .500 baseball i don't know man, it seems like they quickly went from awesome to pretty good to now average. it is starting to feel like we bet on the wrong guys.
  12. so should we post cardinals pics here then
  13. if you're looking for good things, you may want to turn off the cubs for the rest of the season
  14. yeah well it looked like we were still loaded after the ws. 18 months later and there's mediocrity everywhere
  15. they were cheap as hell this offseason and they're already better than us again
  16. let's start another discussion about what he was saying there. i still think it's "why didn't he horsefeathering send him?"
  17. i went to opening day in miami this year and everyone in the stadium laughed when they played this
  18. Supercubs are like Spider-Man at the end of Infinity War and Theo is Tony Stark. this hurts
  19. Holy horsefeathering horsefeathers dude lmao you finally responded to the game thread rage because this post actually scares you
  20. I dont get the "hes a number 5 starter so it's not a big deal" thing. #5 starters dont typically get paid what he got, and to makes that argument, you have to actually have a 1-4 pitching like a 1-4
  21. I mean it's too early to say that's what's happening, but it easily could be. We invested a massive amount of resources in darvish/quintana/chatwood and they're completely broken walk machines. Yeah the stuff is fine or whatever, but I don't know how you can not be terrified by what they're doing, and by what ot means for the organization going forward if they dont turn it around in a big way. The only one we really invested big-time into at this point is Yu. Eloy still has to become a stud for us to really have invested anything into Q, and Chatwood is on a three-year contract that will be over in a blink of an eye, while really only making No. 4 or No. 5 starter money any way and performing like a No. 4 or No. 5. Yu for sure has to pick it up. Can't be tanking in the first year of a six-year, $126 million contract. Having two of those guys with Heyward and Yu would suck even for a big market team. no. eloy was going to be traded for some pitcher. we chose Quintana. it doesn't matter if eloy ends up sucking. also chatwood's money is not insignificant, especially with Heyward on the books.

Because it's been a month and we're not r_mack. a month of them pitching like this is plenty of reason to be very concerned. It's not like they're just pitching poorly. they're complete wrecks. also we invested in darvish and quintana to be good right now. the cardinals have a legitimately good team. they're about to pass us on projected wins. we haven't been super cubs for q couple years, and we no longer have the luxury to dick around for months.
