  1. the reds miss peralta, woodruff, and mis this weekend
  2. Kyle Tucker is not signing a one year deal because of a 2 month slump
  3. yes, i expected more power and less obp, but he's not far off from what he was supposed to be
  4. if you expected his numbers from last season that's on you you're all making it really easy for the cubs to let him walk
  5. he's in a horrible slump but the early season success doesn't count less than his recent struggles. ultimately he's not far below the expectations heading into the season, and one hot streak puts him right back to where we hoped
  6. Man I wish people would stop saying Tucker is having a mediocre season
  7. yeah this is starting to feel like a collapse. they deserve it so whatever
  8. i've seen people claiming it was smith vs shaw and i don't get that. they were never trading shaw for 1 year of tucker. i'm not saying the tucker trade was bad, but they could have kept shaw at 2b and cam smith at 3b long-term. giving up cam smith will still be bad if they don't se-sign tucker. shaw being good wouldn't change that.
  9. tucker is on his way to another 5 win season. i get being annoyed at his slump, but i think the complaining over him is excessive and will just make it easier for the cubs to let a great player walk
  10. the WC lead is 6 games (7 in the loss column) , 4.5 is the distance ahead of the mets
  11. this season is going perfectly for the Ricketts. the cubs will probably sneak into the playoffs AND tucker is having a disappointing enough year that a lot of people already don't want to sign him. they're probably thrilled.
  12. same distance between the division and being out of the playoffs
  13. 7.5 game cushion, so it would be quite a collapse still. i can't even imagine how ugly things will get if they blow the playoffs and then let tucker go
  14. before the series, i thought to myself that i'd be happy with 1 out of 3. that keeps the WC lead at 6.5 instead of 4.5 my hopes were that low, and yet
  15. if they lose their cushion is down to 4.5, tomorrow is an enormous game
  16. i seem to remember zips being the only system that was that high on the cubs. i think most projections (and fan predictions) had them at like mid to upper 80s
  17. the reds have a chance to get right back in it this week against the cubs
