Way to criticize a guy based on a hypothetical situation. That's fair. Soto did absolutely everything right on that play, besides obviously blocking the ball. He got after it right away, and it still took a strong throw to throw out Ankiel. Soto=Strong arm. Kendall=Not strong arm. BTW...5 more runs and Piggy/Wuertz/anybody in the bottom of the 9th would be nice

Floyd in the 4 hole makes me a little sick to my stomach, seeing as Ramirez is our most dangerous hitter (Besides maybe Sori since he's been hot) and you want everyone you can to get on base before Aram. That's not exactly Floyd's forte, but then again neither is playing baseball in general for him lately. Oh well. Lou's shaky lineups have had a history of working out. We should rock Pineiro regardless of the lineup, but then again we should have rocked a lot of people. As you can tell, struggling hard between bluekoolaid and terrible pessimism. Thank god for beer. Just win.

i'll defend z and say that his gestures seemed to be saying "you're right, i deserved to be booed" Yeah that's the impression I got when he was pointing towards his head...but I thought the untucking of the shirt while still on the field came off as really unprofessional. -

mlb.com still has Wandy pitching. I'm guessing it's just a mistake on ESPN's part. Wouldn't be the first time. Yeah that's what I figured. espn.com has Patton in their match-up too, but if you go to the preview they talk about Wandy...so it's probably just a typo. Thanks... -

I just saw on ESPNs bottom line that the starting pitching matchup is Marshall vs. Patton. I'm assuming that's just a mistake on ESPNs part.... Anyone else hear anything about a possible switch in starters? -
Good question I think Murton is probably the way to go, assuming Soriano is fully healthy and can play Left every day until Saturday, when the rosters expand. Against righties you go with Sori/Jones/Floyd, and against lefties you go Sori/Jones/Monroe (Unfortunately we don't have a center fielder that can hit lefties that well) I'd rather have Pie as a late inning-defense guy/pinch-running guy for the 4 games until we go to a 40-man, especially because Murton would probably only be in 1, maybe 2 games during that stretch... Edit: Not sure how the 10-day rule works either...

What happens to Hill a lot these days. A combination of bloop hits, bad defense and Rich completely falling apart as a result. Yeah...who would have thought a couple months ago that Hill would be our biggest worry in terms of being a head-case? What makes you think Hill is a "head case". Alright maybe "head case" isn't exactly the right term....but it seems like all it takes is a couple unlucky plays and he falls apart...the same thing we saw back when Z was struggling...

rotoworld is also reporting what cubs.com says; blevins not marshall. marshall was the lhp billy wanted, but jimbo said nuh huh, you'll get blevins, dude, and you'll LIKE it. Yeah....way to go Hendry....you got him.... :roll: Since when has a trade with Oakland ever turned out well for the other team?
