  1. should be Hendricks but it will be Lester (I wouldn't complain)
  2. You're the only self righteous one in this thread. Get bent. Nice retort. sorry, go horsefeathers yourself. Is that better? You're the one that can't understand why people are disappointed by what Rizzo said and why they hope for better. You're the one who seems to think disappointment is the same as outrage. You're the one who got on his high horse more concerned about this perceived outrage than the domestic abuse. I'm the idiot taking the time to type this up. I'm the idiot taking the bait, but seriously go horsefeathers yourself.

  4. I thought Baez's bat looked slow that AB. Never seen that before.
  5. my parents said that they put on the video board, that they hope to start at 7:25
  6. I was thinking Contreras and KB, but Javy is a good idea too.
  7. that happened on the radio too. There were two feeds and I had to switch to the other one.
  8. We finally get a picture with KB not wearing a sponsor's apparel, and Rizzo ruins the picture by wearing one of his! smh :banghead:
  9. pitchtrax or whatever has been showing pitches about 3 ft higher than they actually were.
  10. well... at least, we got the one game...
  11. warm it up, kris, so we can give contreras and javy the rest of the day off
  12. fyi, the Cubs feed seems to be normal now on mlb.tv for those that switced.
  13. Just what the Rockies need-another outfielder. They could use a good one, though. Then why would they want Almora? Hey-Oh!
  14. Haha, it was actually Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease. My nephew was kind enough to give that to me a couple of years ago. Words cannot describe how painful it was.
  15. Maybe I’m way too Baseball Managering this, but I’d much rather have Maddon (and Theo) looking at these decisions in a weighted coin flip type of way than ‘emotion and the like’. We have probably five better hitters against righties than him in the lineup today, and they’re all going to get less at bats than he is. The whole thing that makes Theo Theo is that for inconsequential decisions like this he looks at the human element. If the projections say we'll score like .09 fewer runs with Almora leading off but they know that he's jazzed to do it and they think it's helping his development they're gonna let him do it. I would bet pitchers tend to throw fastballs more to the first batter, which would benefit Almora too.

  17. Didn't Verducci mention Maddon doesn't like calling for pitch outs but instead prefers calling an outside fastball.
  18. I saw that, about the same time Pat said "a pop fly, this won't get a run in" I was excited to hear what transpired.
  19. That's as bad as his slippery slope argument. Relegating any pitcher batting to some kind of exhibition is as bad as saying that the adoption of the DH will lead to a DH at other positions? Gonna disagree there. Yes, they're both terrible attempts to undermine the others arguments, by purposely missing/exaggerating the point.
  20. That's as bad as his slippery slope argument.
