  1. I'll be going
  2. Kind of surprised they aren't pitch running for Rizzo. Get 2 at bats out of him and then let him rest the ankle for tomorrow
  3. https://deadspin.com/video/3690470?utm_medium=sharefromsite&utm_source=Deadspin&jwsource=cl I couldn't get it to embed properly, but Franmil Reyes serenaded the fans during his post game interview and it was awesome.
  4. pretty sure that's not st. louis style. that's it's own type of bad
  5. IIRC, Gomez came from Baltimore and was brought in after Gary Scott failed and was later traded for an injured Kal Daniels who doubled in his 1st AB and could not run. Meh, I was wrong it was Buechele who came over then Gomez, then Orie. Kal Daniels did have the greatest Sports Machine highlight of all time skip to about 5:30 [bbvideo=560,315] [/bbvideo]
  6. or it could be a double play which is twice as bad as striking out...or a triple play which is 3 times as bad! Making contact has the possibility of something happening (more good than bad) while striking out offers nothing. What about dropped third strikes? check and mate.
  7. Drop Stanton Add Yelich Drop Judge Add Hoskins
  8. When did this become a white power symbol? When I was younger we made this symbol for horsefeathers. *not arguing this isn't a white power symbol. Anyone that's watched any news the last few years, should know it's a white power symbol. Just wondering if it's always been that way, so I'm the horsefeathers.
  9. Martinez is as bad in right as back2banks and other think Schwarber is in left
  10. I've watched this a million times and it's funnier every time.
  11. Position- Player- Cost Catcher- Realmuto- 75 First Base- Gallo- 200 Second Base- Shaw- 100 Shortstop- Correa- 50 Third Base- Bregman- 100 Outfield- Stanton- 200 Outfield- Harper- 100 Outfield- Judge- 75 Outfield- Bryant- 50 Designated Hitter- Altuve- 50
  12. I've been busy, but I should have some free time tonight to put a team together.
  13. I'm still mad about last week, the Bears were the better team and putzed it all away. Rooting for KC the rest of the way, anything to marginally bother STL people..... Then you should be rooting for the Rams.
  14. You didn't like the pick or the fact that they traded to do it? I don't remember anybody on earth not liking that pick. Mr. "I remember a play in the 3rd inning of a game in early May in 2001" doesn't remember all the people who hated the Trubisky pick? Just go back to the draft thread and you'll see a ton of people who hated the pick This is the ultimate Derwood post.
  15. 4 times. honestly, it kind of reminds me of Goulds first year where he was missing (and missing a lot). That time, it was def the wind causing most of his misses. But if it isn't the wind or ball placement or a slick turf causing Parkey issues, then he just sucks. You can't tell me there isn't a viable replacement out there who can reliably hit xp's and higher than 72% on FG's w/o the field being the cause. You can't tell me that you saw the kicking between Gould and Parkey and still believer there is a viable replacement. Like Jersey said, he hit the uprights 4 times. Literally missing by inches (you can hit the upright and still make a kick, so this is literal). He was fine before yesterday (not good, but fine). He was bad yesterday, but not that bad. He'll likely be more like before yesterday than he was yesterday. Yea, but a quarter of an inch the other way and he would've missed completely.
  16. 1. Murphy strikes out 2x and goes 0-4 2. Murphy doesn't get to an easy groundball costing the Cubs a run (I hate Murphy more than Ding Dong and David hate Wong)
  17. 563 OPS vs LHP. And did you see his last AB? He was clueless. Bote has an .871 OPS against lefties (vs. .668 against righties). I like this idea And Happ's wOBA is almost identical to Murphy's for the season and in Sept.
  18. You’re benching him in favor of... Bote or Happ, at least they have more range than a broken stove.
  19. Murphy better not be in the lineup tonight and preferably the rest of the post season.
  20. In the past I believe it was based on regular season record.
  21. Nope it's always the next base plus an extra, it's just when the throw is from the outfield there's more likely to be a crazy scenario like a runner being back at 1st when the ball gets away and goes out of play. Adding to this. Most times you see an overthrow it's on a play in the infield at first, the runner is almost to first when the errant throw is made, so it looks like he only got one base, but he got first and second.

  23. You get the base you were going to plus a base when the throw was made. Since he was already at 1st when the throw was made he gets to go to third.
