    :shock: :shock: :shock: How can someone "hate" Zep? By having an older brother force them down your throat, and because Zep puts me to sleep.

    Man, if Tool would have beat RHCP, they could've given Led Zeppelin a run for their money. I refuse to vote in this match-up due to mass hatred towards LZ and RHCP (I only hate them for taking down Tool).

    I always thought of And Justice for All as fantastically artistic----probably the most artistic of any thrash Metal ever, unless you start counting some of the underground stuff (which really isn't heard by many outside of very select circles of die hards). Hmm the only song I've listened to on that album is "One". Maybe I'll check it out The song Blackened is on there, and that's another good tune.

    Yeah, I can't see them meeting much competition. Metallica is taking somebody out. They better...Best band ever! (IMO) And I agree with Goony on this one... Well, it's gonna be tough, because a lot of people still haven't forgiven Metallica for Napster.... but they truly are the best band ever, regardless of St Anger (which is still better than a lot of the junk some of the newer bands put out.) They're talented, but every other song sounds the same to me, as an all out rock song, or a ballad. I really like Master of Puppets the best, Orion is epic. Yeah, MoP and Orion are probably the best songs I've ever heard... and yes, that's my bias-love towards Metallica kicking in. EDIT: Oh, and I will agree that a lot of their stuff does sound alike. Ktulu. I don't concede the last point. To the consternation of many diehards, Metallica keeps finding ways to break the mold. I don't know about Ktulu... but I take back my statement, One is the best of the best.

    I feel bad for my co-worker. She went to this game because she couldn't get tickets for the game on her birthday, and this is what she got to see.

    But the Kinks have Lola! You'd think that song would be enough to get their vote. But Bon Jovi is in my top 5 favorite bands, so I'm sorry Kinks... it's Bon Jovi for me.

    I actually don't care for the use of electronics in music. I like Radiohead, but I'll take CCR over Radiohead any day. thom yorke is a genius. it's just that they have changed the landscape of music so much. if a group has broke so much ground and influenced so many bands since... i was harsh on that post, but that's only my opinion. Understood. But it was mentioned in one of these 12 polls, or in the thread on social, everyone has incredibly different tastes in music. Sometimes it's off by just a little bit, and sometimes it's by the extremities. I agree that Radiohead has changed music and that they're a great band, but CCR is more soothing to my ears.

    I think this post by J.R. should be the post of the year. If it hasn't been noticeable, Metallica is my all-time favorite band.
