    aren't there rules regarding this? Apparently, she was eligible because she is a Russian citizen (gained while she was playing there) and has never represented the U.S. in international play. I think it's ridiculous, personally. Yeah, Jim Caple insinuates that the only people who can have a problem with this are people hung up on the Cold War. I think it's really odd that somebody can compete for a country simply because they played some pro ball there. I wouldn't expect any of the Russian women to represent the US in tennis, or Lance Armstrong to ride for the French. It's kind of silly if you ask me. It's one thing to be born in one country, and then move to and become a citizen of another country and represent them. And I also don't think it's the same as coaches working for players/teams from another country. i say good for her...the us team didn't want her so she took her game to a place that wanted/needed it....what she did is within the rules so i don't see where the problem is.
