West Tenn ended up winning the suspended game 2-1 in the 9th. Richard Lewis got the game winning RBI single. Game 2 will start shortly... Daytona and Dunedin are scoreless right now (Daytona is hitless too) after 2 innings.

Just a heads up, but our own Serena might be in the booth with Ron Potesta during game 2 of the Jaxx doubleheader! Hopefully the audio is working better, but right now that doesn't look too optimistic. :(

Randy Wells. A converted catcher who is having a great season at AA and now AAA. He should probably rank between 10 and 20 in the Cubs top prospects. His best asset is his control, he has an 88-92 mph FB, plus change and average slider. ah i see... so he is the next Marmol???? Marmol has much better stuff...and worse control. Also, Wells isn't on the 40-man roster as of now.

Blah. I guess Hill will be freed.

Why do some people assume Prior is just a big wuss and cant take pain? Did I miss the quote from any reliable source that said his injuries were overblown by him? Also sometimes a coach forces the issues and takes caution with a players pain. Prior sure was a wuss going back out there to pitch after colliding with Giles in 03. And he sure was a wuss for returning quicker than expected from the line drive on the elbow. If I recall correctly he missed his next start or was taken out of that game after the collision.. He missed 4 starts with a pretty serious shoulder injury. But he actually went out right after the collision/injury and pitched. I think that's the opposite of being a wuss, but that's obviously just me.

At game time at 10:30 am in Mesa: Weather: 106 degrees, partly cloudy. Yum.

Parker gave up 3 ER in 5 innings (7 hits, 2 Ks, 1 walk). Julio Castillo has followed with 2 shutout innings. After 7, we're tied at 3. After not striking out yesterday once in 5 ABs, Drew Rundle has struck out each of the 3 times he's come up today.

And Parker is starting for Mesa. I wonder who got promoted to Boise...

At least you live in Chicago. I have never been to a Bears game, haven't been to Wrigley since 2004 and haven't been to a Bulls home game since 1996.

Game 1. Who shall we pitch to...Mike Lowell or Lenny Harris? ](*,)
  15. CaliforniaRaisin
Boise wins it 4-3. They scored the go-ahead run in the 9th: Lansford walks (shocking), Canzler sac bunted, Camp was intentionally walked, and with DJ Lewis batting, Fister uncorked two wild pitches allowing Lansford to score. Clipp got the save, despite allowing the tying and go-ahead runners to get into scoring position.
  16. CaliforniaRaisin
yeah, that was disappointing. Maybe you should skim some of my posts.

NO ONE should skim my genius posts.
  18. CaliforniaRaisin
GEEZ. Next pitch is a 2-run shot. All tied up at 3.
  19. CaliforniaRaisin
*cough* :P On top of that, both teams hit a few guys yesterday and there were warnings. And Francisco gives up back-to-back doubles to start the bottom of the 7th and Everett is on the board, down 3-1.

Ejections: Everett AquaSox pitcher Natividad Dilone ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. Everett AquaSox catcher Jair Fernandez ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. Everett AquaSox right fielder Jose Graterol ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. Boise Hawks Alfred Joseph ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. Boise Hawks third baseman Elvin Puello ejected by HP umpire Phil Henry. The guy who started the fight by punching Joseph, Dean Zorn of Everett, was *not* ejected.

ALL OUT BENCH-CLEARING MELEE IN THE BOISE GAME! These teams hate each other, benches have cleared 2 times in 3 games. Here's what happened: Joseph was running across first, the throw was high and the tag was at Jospeh's head, knocking his helmet off. Apparently Joseph wasn't too happy, yelled at the first baseman, and the benches cleared. Then, some guy from Everett's bench (Zorn?) punched Joseph and other punches were thrown. Elvin Puello apparently played a huge part in the brawl as he was ejected. Colvin had to restrain Joseph. Now Boise's manager is mad at the ejections.

Stop it or the thread is locked.

Peoria wins 7-3. YUSUF! with another HR! Iowa up 3-0 in the 5th. Pie singles to shortstop, steals second, takes 3rd on a Fontenot 4-3 FC and scored on a Restovich sac fly.
  24. CaliforniaRaisin
    DON'T HATE ON STEPHEN A. SMITH! :x

Hopefully Huseby makes his debut down in Mesa soon, there was a chance it would happen this week.
