  1. Wow, shocked to see none of you liked the pick. He was my favorite choice of the guys available at 12 (CMB was my realistic hope and Malauch my pipe dream). Essengue is the second youngest guy in the draft but was still productive in a professional league. That goes a long way for me. He has a projectable frame and good motor. He isn't a great shooter but at pick 12 in a mediocre draft, I'll take the upside swing. Hopefully the Bulls hire a good shooting coach since they inexplicably fired Peter Patton.
  2. Tyler Schlaffer took a no-hitter into the 7th before giving up a 1-out double. EDIT: He works around it. Schlaffer's final line: 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 10 K on 100 (!) pitches He's got to be ready for Knoxville.

  12. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2025-mlb-draft-intel-what-were-hearing-20-days-out/ Tyler Bremner Feels Safely In The Top 15 Ike Irish has a good chance to go top 10 and be the second college bat Gage Wood Dominates Down The Stretch - compares favorably to Cade Horton and Ty Floyd and feels like a first round lock now
  13. It honestly feels like Lovich is like Southisene - not much to prove in the ACL but (possibly, in the case of Lovich since it's still early) not ready for the Carolina League, especially from a strength perspective.
