  1. Give me the Rams and Cardinals too.
  2. I hope #20 there, Miguel Amaya, is really in Arizona this summer. That would be massive for his prospects - stateside already at 17 as a 7/2 IFA C is a really nice start. Would be even nicer if one or two other 2015 IFAs, Kwang-Min Kwong and Yonathan Estiwal, are there too. The SS from Mexico, Paredes, might have a shot too. Keep in mind that the Cubs punted this draft and IFA period. Expectations should be relatively high for the 2015 IFAs (and HS draftees), hopefully multiple guys are in Arizona to open their careers (or Eugene this year for 2015 HS draftees). It would be significantly positive for both the system and any projections if multiple players from these groups are in full season ball by 2018. The good thing is that the 2015-2016 IFA window is still open and there's at least one guy who can play in full season ball now (Ruiz). Oh, and 3B/1B Matt Rose is a better prospect than alot of these other college drafted bats getting slightly more pub this offseason. I have no doubt Kwong will stay in Arizona. Teams don't send Asian teens to Latin America. Arguello has been suggesting that Oscar de la Cruz has added a couple mph which would be fantastic.

  4. Elbow problems for the second time in less than a year. Last year it was elbow inflammation but he didn't have surgery. [tweet]https://twitter.com/carriemuskat/status/709435474260021248[/tweet]
  5. I went with De la Cruz too, which tied him with Edwards in this poll.
  6. Maybe Spence if you're comfortable with the risk.
  7. Pretty easily Jeimer for me.
  8. Pretty easily Jeimer for me.
  9. Man, that trade was ridiculous. At the very least, we probably should install veto ability going forward.
  10. No one on Bears yet. I'd be up for just calling that one a consensus one and we'll do a poll for it, since that will have the most interest here. Sounds good.
  11. How are we doing the Bears? I can take the Chargers or Rams.
  12. That Lawson report did read like one of Underwood's then year Duane was drafted. Your Hansen hyperbole seems extreme when you consider Alec didn't make it out of the second in his first start and only went 3 in his second start.
  13. Not every player was linked to team but he did link the Cubs to Norge Ruiz (along with the Dodgers) and Vladimir Gutierrez (along with the Dodgers and Giants). Badler reiterated Morejon was linked to the Padres and Lazarito to the Padres with the Dodgers and Braves waiting in the wings.
  14. Eloy, but I might be the biggest Eloy fan on this board.
  15. Robert Tyler was electric yesterday. Kyle Cody fantastic today. Not that either of them matter for the Cubs, barring injury. As a side note, I love Corey Ray.
  16. Contreras for me too.
  17. Tweet was about his movie night.
  18. 30% he stays Did the NFL get rid of the franchise tag?
  19. I want Cease and his surgically repaired elbow to have nothing to do with the MWL until at least May. Regarding Martinez, nothing would surprise me but I suspect he'll stay in Mesa for at least a part of extended spring training to continue to get acclimated to the US. He sounds rawer than your average 21-year old.
  20. Damn. Probably the two guys I was most interested in, especially since there was no doubt Morejon would be a Cub just a few months ago.
  21. Law has historically been higher on Theo and Jed-led systems. Obviously they've earned a lot of benefit of doubt but just something to note.
  22. McLeod interview: http://chicagocubsonline.com/archives/2016/02/jason-mcleod-talks-cubs-prospects-on-mlb-network-radio.php Touches on Torres, Contreras, McKinney, Underwood, Cease, Steele, Sands, de la Cruz and Candelario. Sounds like McKinney might not be ready for spring training because of the kneecap injury:
