  3. If you’re so gung ho about giving up an out with Báez, you absolutely have to PH for Heyward. Just a horribly managed inning by Joe.
  4. Probably the best starts of both Lange and Little’s pro careers.
  5. https://www.thecubreporter.com/05232018/nic-bug-and-mac-are-rockie-concoction-cubs-riverview Hoping Steele can get into a few full season games and then go to the AFL. Erick Leal is done with his rehab and he’s up at Myrtle Beach.
  6. i dont think Justin Wilson has any value to anyone right now. Maybe I'm playing up his struggles too much but he's 1-2 bad outings from a DFA in my opinion. He’s probably got minimal trade value because of the bad control and bad stretch with the Cubs but Wilson has a 3.44 ERA on the season and a 1.04 ERA in May. He’s not going to be DFA’d after 1-2 bad outings.
  7. He went on to discuss other catchers in the system: I know we don't have 2018 stats for Soto and Perez and have to rely solely on eyewitness reports but I have a hard time believing Pereda is not a top 3 catching prospect in this organization when he's good defensively and this year, has 145 PA of .800 OPS at age 22 at high-A.

  9. Albertos was finally sent down to Mesa.
  10. Sounds like the Orioles are the only team that hasn’t committed a lot:
  11. The Dodgers are only 5.5 back despite being 7 below .500. I assume they’ll be in first by the 4th if July.
  12. Not sure if you were able to read that article since it’s subscriber but I did try to summarize it the post above yours. Sounds like the team that convinces Baltimore to part with their IFA funds might have the best chance.

  15. Nah. All the Cubs runs were awesome, not just the two in the 10th. Fowler's homer, Bryant's baserunning x 2, Contreras' double to RF, Báez knocking Kluber out by going opposite field and David Ross homering with 2 strikes off Andrew Miller.
  16. https://twitter.com/savermetrics/status/998401494792769536?s=21 Jacob Lopez is a LHP and Corbin Williams an OF, both from College of the Canyons (a junior college). Clay Owens is a catcher from Santiago HS. BA ranks him 442.
  17. You've got to send Albertos to Arizona at some point. This is painful for him.
