At this point in the draft, don’t expect a prep pick to be underslot, even if he’s picked much higher than the consensus rankings. Quite surprising to see them go with a “raw” prospect this high. Goes against their MO.

I think there are too many teams ahead of the Cubs that will take a college arm like him (Angels, Cardinals, Twins, Brewers). But the Cubs should take him unless there's someone else they like even more or if there are some issues with his medicals.
