  7. Some video highlights in this Twitter thread, including Young’s homer, Hatch’s great outing, Amaya’s double, Roederer bloop single, Weber’s double and Giambrone’s homer:
  8. Dillon Maples' control is ready for the big league bullpen.
  9. That always happens around this time when scouts are looking for flaws and breaking down prospects and preparing to rank them. Yeah, the pitching really sucks and I wouldn't be super psyched if my team had a top 10 pick this year. Still, there are a bunch of really good college hitters. Some HS bats with high ceilings (and high risk) like Rece Hinds. The Cubs will probably load up on hitting prospects again in this draft. Yeah, it might be the dearth of pitching causing this but most draft writers have stated this is a weaker draft than the normal weak ones.
  10. Lange got roughed up in his first start repeating at Myrtle Beach.

  14. Iowa’s roster is finally out. Happ, Giambrone and Short headline the position players. Underwood Jr, Swarmer, Robinson and Rea are likely in the rotation with no 5th starter. Clifton when Tseng look like they’re staying in Arizona. Maples, Mekkes, Webster, Duensing in the pen.

  17. I do think he’ll get DFA’d when Addison Russell’s suspension is over and they need a 40-man spot. Alzolay should be close to ready for Iowa’s rotation by then too and Rea should already be ready.
  18. Sounds like Tseng is at risk for not making the I-Cubs (also, Christopher Morel and Jonathan Soto both homered - one of them off AAAer Colin Rea): https://www.thecubreporter.com/04022019/russell-tseng-action-morel-soto-go-deep-riverview
