I think this line from Cubs Central's live blog is the big question. The Cubs probably saved money on each pick from 5-10, so where's that money going? I didn't think Triantos or Gray sounded particularly expensive. So does that mean they're going to be able to shoot a fairly significant shot in round 11? Or am I misreading one of those guys, Gray probably being most likely. I think Trinatos, Gray and Franklin are all over slot but the question is by how much. I'd guess between the three of them, they're over slot by $1.25-$1.5 million and so I wasn't expecting anything more than say one $300-$500k guy tomorrow (the first $125k don't count to the cap).

Parker Chavers in the 7th, a Coastal Carolina outfielder (senior/Covid junior). Not shocking the Cubs go back to Coastal.

Apparently the Cubs announced him as an LHP and MLB.com is wrong listing him as an OF.

Gray ranked 123 by Kiley McDaniel at ESPN (only listed as a LHP). Not ranked by Fangraphs (only ranked 73 players) or Keith Law (only ranked 101 players).

It's frustrating the Cubs only went with one complex team in Arizona for this reason. It feels like Made (and possibly even Howard) don't belong in Myrtle Beach right now and have to play there.
