He's the Kentucky outfielder and he isn't in the transfer portal. You might be confusing him with William Schmidt, the prep pitcher from Louisiana. I've read that data-driven teams love him so he might not appeal to all teams and it just takes a few of the big time data-driven teams like Milwaukee going a different direction for him to suddenly fall a lot.

Cam Caminiti to Atlanta, First prep pitcher. Ryan Sloan (from Elmhurst) apparently has a $4 million number so it's probably Arizona, Cleveland, Milwaukee or Wake Forest.

Milwaukee has 4 picks today so they're better suited to go underslot early but that said, there are numerous draft analysts who think there's a big fall off around 50 or so.

I think so. I think general consensus is Horton, Ballesteros, Shaw, Caissie, Triantos, Rojas and Alcántara make the top 7 in some order. I’d have Smith below all of them. Probably would take Smith over Wiggins who was my 8th prospect.

Fangraphs has Cam Smith as their 7th best draft prospect: Pipeline has him 14th: BA has him 16th: Keith Law has him 19th: ESPN/Kiley has him 17th.

I was more afraid of the Cardinals getting Burns or Smith since they've fallen behind in pitch development.
