  1. I never thought I'd feel this way, but... Go Pack. I'm gonna go puke now.
  2. I really wouldn't like this decision. If we're that worried about the money I'd rather see us skip the big names and hire a first time Head Coach who is willing to work for very little rather than taking another year of Lovie/Angelo. Kind of like the Del Negro hiring in Chicago, except we get someone who at least has assistant coaching experience.
  3. I do want the Bears to lose a lot, but I'd rather have them win this one and then lose out.
  4. If Kubiak is out at Houston, Kyle Shanahan would likely be out too. He is apparently one of the hottest young names out there. Cowher/Shanahan
  5. Sick to my stomach.
  6. I'd consider trading anyone on this team except Robbie Gould.
  7. They did...the Cleveland game. Doing well against the Cleveland Offense requires having a pulse. That doesn't count.
  8. I'm not following the irony.
  9. Thats why I prefer to think about it like this: In order for there to be any chance for Lovie to get the can the Bears can't do better than 5-12. The Bears play bad teams in the 49ers, Lions, and Rams. What are the chances we can blow two of those games? The rest is simple, but I worry we're just mediocre enough and Cutler is just good enough to will us a nice 7-9 record. I will bet you eleventy billion dollars that the Bears do not go 5-12 this year. haha whoops... Uh I was counting 1.5 losses for Cincy and Arizona.

  11. Well on the plus side, I got a nice apology from Fox for showing me this crap.
  12. Lets not pretend that's a magic O-line fix...it's a step in the right direction, but frankly, Kreutz needs to be replaced...and probably pretty soon. Oh I know, but even a step in the right direction is a positive thing. And we will definitely improve our run blocking with this line even if overall they are only a small upgrade. More balanced. Its probably the best combination we can throw out there.
  13. Yeah heard this on ESPN1000 earlier today. I'm also hearing Williams may be on the hot seat to get Shaffer in there to help the run game. The ESPN article implies that Pace's job is the one threatened by Shaffer. Williams-Beekman-Kreutz-Garza-Shaffer
  14. Fixed. I'm not sure the line will be fixed. Theres not a ton of great FA, other than some guys who don't seem likely to leave their teams. Our highest pick is a 3rd rounder, and we still have defensive holes to worry about. Also Forte has proven this year that we need a better #2 RB. He isn't a guy that will carry the whole load. I could definitely see the OL being just as bad next year.
  15. Who would Shaffer be replacing? Better not be Williams. Hhhmmm, I posted on another forum that the line I wanted to see the rest of the season was: Williams-Beekman-Kruetz-Garza-Shaffer But I didn't think it'd actually happen. I'd be so happy if it did.
  16. 6 wins in 5 games would be impressive.
  17. Does the New Orleans offense involve giving up at least two yards at the line of scrimmage? If not, we can't run it.
  18. Kreutz is going nowhere. He should. How old is he now? How long is his contract? How much longer do we have to put up with him?
  19. Williams and Beekman are the only lineman worth keeping around for next year. Maybe Shaffer actually, would like to see what he could do, I bet he'd open up some holes. Williams - New Guard - Beekman - New Guard - Shaffer Overhaul this line.
  20. We'll see what he gets in arbitration. I'm more than okay with Theriot's production at league minimum. If he gets overpaid in arbitration, which I could see happening, I'm good with looking at other options.
  21. I'm alright with Gaines Adams being inactive. Even if he knew the system, its hard to throw a guy in who hasn't even practiced. Now I think chemistry gets overblown in a lot of instances, but you need some time to practice with teammates. Hopefully he gets a good week in this week and is active next Sunday.
  22. noooooooooo, there goes all my potential "Michael Gaines Adams Anthony" jokes and candid photo ops! jk, In all seriousness, was Gaines actually on the active roster from week to week? Did we lose anything by dropping him.
