  1. 10+ offers this year? Damn, seems like a lot. My googling shows nonselective beta blockers as a big hit.
  2. Jahri Evans cut by the Saints today. Not the player he once was but there's a connection obviously with Pace.
  3. Oh I might have denied his existence from my brain after last night.
  4. Yup, basically. You can be draft/development heavy. You can mix great drafting with veteran acquisitions. You pretty much can't only get veteran acquisitions and win, at least not consistently and not on the big stage.
  5. Off the top of my head it seems like their D is much more homegrown than their O, with the one big defensive outsider being Ware. Balance is good, but being able to draft well I think is kind of the pre-requisite. The Broncos built a great team and then finished the job with FAs it seems.
  6. It had some fun moments, but more from a ridiculousness perspective.
  7. Why does he want to get rid of the tailgating? That seems like a really weird reason to refuse to work with the city to get a brand new stadium. Owners do not like people bringing their own costco purchased beer and hot dogs and grilling them in the parking lot. They prefer people come into the stadium and buy $12 beers and $8 hot dogs from them. Yea, I know that Oakland is fighting to keep tailgaiting, but thats probably the exception. Probably due in large part that Mark Davis is more of a fan and inherited the team.
  8. So he waits it out a full year and jumps at the very last chance?
  9. 2 eggs 2 cups all-purpose 1 tablespoon sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 3/4 cups milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter 2 large eggs 4 cups all-purpose flour 1/4 cup granulated sugar 3 teaspoons instant yeast 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/8 cups whole milk 1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter, melted The parts list. One makes a batter with a quick chemical rise. The other makes a dough with a slow bacterial rise. I'd say they are sufficiently different even though you've basically swapped just one ingredient, all the proportions are way different and make for different end products. Also the parts list for your bread that makes your slices for French toast is also the same ingredients, but again you've changed all the proportions, even if the end goal is the same.
  10. Also, Mike Groh is going to thr LA Rams as WR Coach/ Passing Game Coordinator. They could have blocked that move, assuming he was still under contract. He was a Trestman era leftover, the only such offensive coach. Two D coaches still around. (Including Hurtt who they blocked from going to Miami).
  11. I'm not secure enough in any position* to turn away help anywhere. Let's just get the best players we can in draft or FA. * QB I wouldn't fill with a vet, but would definitely draft a Cutler replacement if I thought the value was there in any round.
  12. Wait does David put butter and syrup on his pizza?
  13. Man, f that, we're building a dongeriffic lineup, I wanna maximize their time in the game. In fact let's petition for two DHs.
  14. Not just Schwarber. Think of all the crusty old managers trotting out in that horsefeathers. Also Bartolo Colon.
  15. Well let me tell you something, my kraut-mick friend, I'm gonna make so much french toast this weekend, you won t know what hit you! Is that an invitation to come by for brunch? I'll bring the bloody mary supplies.
  16. Yea German Pancakes are pretty horsefeathering great. It's a staple of almost any family holiday brunch.
  17. Might as well have a non-Bears thread. Hue Jackson is your next Cleveland Browns head coach.
  18. Well my season was already off to a rocky start and now looks like Charles is done. It's a keeper league though so I can start my sell off. Have already been offered Mariotia (Keeper values of $2, $3 the next two years) for Alshon Jeffery (not keeper eligible). This is a good trade I should jump at right?
  19. $200 auction budget. Standard scoring except 6 pts on passing TD. Up to three keepers. QB Drew Bree's $46.00 RB Jamaal Charles $66.00 RB Joique Bell $13.00 WR DeSean Jackson $21.00 WR Antonio Brown $15.00 WR Alshon Jeffery $8.00 RB Pierre Thomas $4.00 QB Matt Ryan Atl $4.00 RB Andre Ellington $21.00
  20. Full statement http://www.redeyechicago.com/sports/chi-bears-phil-emery-aaron-kromer-20141215,0,1668390.story While he does make clear it was Trestman's decision, he doesn't go anywhere near showing disagreement, just dissatisfaction with the situation as a whole. So I don't think Trestman is going anywhere yet.
  21. Wishful thinking or confusion? http://www.chicagofootball.com/2014/12/15/chicago-bears-general-manager-phil-emery-breaks-silence-on-aaron-kromer-comments/az3wmc2/ This article uses "respect" a lot. Talks about the system and doesn't mention disagreement (which IMO would be silly to say unless you were saying it to announce his termination).
  22. Haha brilliant. [expletive] Colts going from Peyton Manning to Andrew Luck. Well timed dump. Reminiscent of the 98 Spurs.
  23. Well as long as you're consistent. For me I'd say "Yeah, Black Unicorn trying to deflect attention from himself for the Bears [expletive] season." As opposed to Cutler who will say we or I no matter if it was his fault or not.
  24. So adjust for volume and he's still what a 60 catch 650 yard TE? That's still pretty good even after drops and mental lapses.
  25. I'm calling shenanigans on football stats because you can say the same thing about Cutler. He's also having a great statistical season among his peers (unlike Cutler who is middle of the pack). Obviously volume isn't everything and I have no problem criticizing his quote, but shitty season is not somewhere I'd go.
