  1. After Vance picks, the revised upcoming schedule R.1.5 - Jacksonville Jaguars - TomtheBombadil R.1.6 - Baltimore Ravens - WF 22 R.1.7 - San Francisco 49ers - WF 22 R.1.8 - Philadelphia Eagles - consensus vote R.1.9 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers - consensus vote R.1.10 - New York Giants -Jersey R.1.11 - Chicago Bears - consensus vote (lets go with extended vote of 48 hours? and get some nominee inputs after pick 9)
  2. I get confused between the star 1B and trust fund owner too.
  3. I've stopped paying attention the last 10 months- we getting that Sacramento pick?
  4. I know we have a few Saints fans here, thought they usually participated... If you want to take the Jags, I'll do the 49ers instead as my 3rd team.
  5. Browns pick Carson Wentz R.1.1 - Tennessee Titans - Laremy Tunsil - OT - Ole Miss R.1.2 - Cleveland Browns - Carson Wentz - QB -NDSU On the clock: R.1.3 - San Diego Chargers - CaliforniaRaisin On Deck R.1.4 - Dallas Cowboys -Vance R.1.5 - Jacksonville Jaguars - WrigleyField 22 R.1.6 - Baltimore Ravens - WrigleyField 22 I'll pm Raisin
  6. Fyi- I'll do the Jags as well. Anyone willing to take on a second/third team consider taking a team next to your slot. Will help move things along, since all voted slots will take 24 hours. Also looks like I missed raw to the Fins before, if you want to update the first post.
  7. Check once or twice a day at least to see if your pick is up. Make selection for your team. PM the next person up that it's their turn (optional, but a big help).
  8. Inching closer to the draft means me playing more fanspeak mock drafts and posting the ones I really like. 11: R1P11, DT A'SHAWN ROBINSON, ALABAMA 41: R2P10, TE HUNTER HENRY, ARKANSAS 72: R3P, S JEREMY CASH, DUKE 107: R4P8, CB RASHARD ROBINSON, LSU 128: R4P29, WR PHAROH COOPER, SOUTH CAROLINA 151: R5P11, TE JERELL ADAMS, SOUTH CAROLINA 186: R6P10, RB JOSH FERGUSON, ILLINOIS 207: R6P31, OT JOE DAHL, WASHINGTON STATE 231: R7P9, OLB VICTOR OCHI, STONY BROOK Definitely hope to see DB and DL stressed in the draft. And its apparently a weak TE draft, but I like a lot of the names I see.
  9. Bump. Feel free to triple up as well. 10. Easy for when?
  11. They're already a mess, what's another couple million haha
  12. Apparently on a 3 year deal. Did Emery ever land on hid feet? Maybe Belichick wants to hire him.
  13. [tweet] [/tweet] So That's like late 4th / early 5th type value for Bennett. All things considered thats not awful once everyone knew he was on the block. And swapping picks to upgrade makes more sense at this point than adding more picks.
  14. Their sixth back for their fifth or something lame like that I'm sure.
  15. Speaking of stability... when are we gonna get another Pat Mannely. I can't be expected to learn these new long snappers, every season or even mid season.
  16. Not sure I love Stanley, but I can certainly get behind the idea, and it really depends on who else is there. Odds are an equally enticing front 7 D guy is available, and it's basically a coin flip of which evaluation is more likely to be right.
  17. I can dig it. Will still be sad to say Bennett go. And while this draft is weak at the top end for TE, I think there are actually some interesting mid round guys so there's that.
  18. Cool, just checked twitter 15 minutes too early
  19. Sounds like Hicks is still in Chicago. If he leaves, I imagine he couldn't close the deal. Hopefully a deal is done tomorrow.
  20. I really don't either. Especially if the draft is solid. I think we could have two above average units next year if things fall right. And two above average units = a pretty good team. This defense still needs some help. And you don't want to rely only on the draft for additional D resources. Still really want Hicks, a S, and maybe another minor DL piece in FA. Freeman deal is a steal though. For Fox's shortcomings I think we have a place guys want to come play for now.
  21. Mariani back on a one year deal.
  22. I mean that would have been really fun, but Hicks and a DB will still do.
  23. How much is Freeman gonna cost? That 46M isn't going to go as far as we probably want. Now, there's still some opportunity to drop more dead weight and free up cap, but I'd really like some more DB help too, which won't be cheap. I don't think they'll sign Freeman. Definitely makes since to gauge his pricetag though and potentially drive up his price. I think the focus will be Akiem Hicks. Then I think the Bears focus on a DB or two (SS foremost, maybe a cheap vet CB for depth) and settling the Miller/Bennett situation at TE. Bennett and Rolle seems like the only real places to save some money, but they'll have to replace their 7-8M saved by spending that much on their replacements. Should have plenty of money for Hicks, Miller, a S like Bruton from Denver, maybe a CB like Patrick Robinson (who the Bears have shown interest in), a backup TE (Gresham in Chicago today also), and any cheap 1-year guys they want to bring in. Then in the draft, I'd focus on the best front 5 pass rusher available at 11. Buckner or Rankins on the DL. Shaq Lawson or Noah Spence at OLB. Then I think the next 2 picks go toward DL/OLB (whichever not picked in 1st), a CB with some size/length, a developmental QB or OL. Agreed with most of that. Re: Rolle, I'm kind of already rolling his replacement into a S signing. If you just need depth, you could replace that cheaper. On other area that could lower our cap number is a Alshon deal. If u could lay out my ideal top three rounds of the draft, it'd be DL, CB, and maybe TE. Or OLB/OL.
  24. Feels like it's finally a stronger 4-3 DE class for once, over a 3-4 OLB, unfortunately. A few 5T rushers, but they may end up out of range.
