  1. Very nice insurance policy on a Cutler injury. On the UDFA front; Updating.... TE Ben Braunecker (Harvard) - biggest get, both need and talent wise. TE Joe Sommers (Wisconsin-Oshkosh) CB Kevin Peterson (Oklahoma State) CB Taveze Calhoun (Miss St.) OLB Roy Robertson-Harris (UTEP) ILB Don Cherry (Villanova) OT Dan Bucholz (Duqesne) OT John Kling (Buffalo) OT Adrian Bellard (Texas St) TE RJ Rickert (Northern Arizona)* WR/KR Kieran Duncan (Colorado St Pueblo)* *Rookie minicamp invite I think I saw they had 8 open spots going into today, so some of these other guys could be invites too.
  2. Or the Northwestern TE/FB/H-Back. Did he go yet?
  3. I saw a lot of Jeremy Cash mocks with a round 3 guy and he's still sitting there... Pretty big slip.
  4. WR, grade seams to match the slot. Pretty happy with this draft. TE would have been nice, but we'll see what UDFA brings. I think the Harvard kid is still around.
  5. I swear we had a DB from W&M. Maybe didn't draft them originally Roosevelt something or other I think you're thinking of. He was a small school DB.
  6. Unless you were watching the Bears in the 40s and 50s I think you're just confused. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft?type=school&abbr=W&collegeName=William%20%26%20Mary&abbrFlag=0
  7. Okay, Pace knows he needs a safety and is just rolling the dice.
  8. Damn there goes Adams one pick before.
  9. Also I successfully installed a new light fixture inbetween the 5th and 6th round picks. Love draft Saturday. Dumb pick by Minny.
  10. Perry will make his spot on ST. Same with Jaquizz to an extent but he's also our best pass catcher still.
  11. His job certainly isn't safe, but I do think they like him. They were stubbornly holding onto him last year while churning through other roster spots and he was an inactive each week. Depends how the rest of the roster shakes out but they can certainly keep 4 RB.
  12. RB by committee. A bigger Kadeem Carey?
  13. Jerrell or Vernon?
  14. Knee issues? Rappaport said it was solely because he is a 2 down player.
  15. Definite shift in this round too. All three weren't big time athletic testers, although as you go down in the draft there are generally less of those types.
  16. gabriel and the traditional guys seem to like Hall, which, of course, PFF seems not to gabriel comared hall to peanut Hm. PFF not having a good grade on a guy from a small school doesn't feel great.
  17. Tweener, but another nice pick.
  18. Eisen, "We've cleaned up our act, but if it's a guy named Johnson I'm out. " Yuup.
  19. The name is familiar to me but I can't remember a scouting report.
  20. Are they laughing because Beavers and Bush ? Lol
  21. Billings torture ends. I still don't get what happened.
  22. If we pick a CB or RB they basically have to play ST or there isn't a roster spot for them. It's definitely a factor at this point, particularly for RB. I still want a S too, but maybe they think Rolle will bounce back. d'oh...when i typed CB, i was thinking secondary, but yeah, it'd be nice if they could pull another amos out of their asses I'd settle for a Conte, lol, but yea.
  23. It's typical of zone blocking teams, which we aren't really, though we're not a power scheme totally either. aren't we trying to go that way? i'll admit my knowledge of x's and o's is extremely rudimentary I mean our personnel all basically fit it, so I guess but I think we're still not true zone. Our OL coach has never been a zone guy.

  25. i think we value high end interior line play more highly as long as we can be adequate on the edges. lots of shotgun and lots of quick throws nowadays. I thought that was Trestman's philosophy. It's typical of zone blocking teams, which we aren't really, though we're not a power scheme totally either.
