    There was definitely a time during the draft I was ready and excited to trade Butler and blow it up. But that was before I seriously thought they could/would go do what they did in FA with Wade/Rondo.

    yeah...and those seasons he's talking about collapsed because jay got hurt. and because a 10 win team didn't make the playoffs. Exactly. Year one Jay was legit bad Jay, but the D was down at that time too. Then they went to the NFC Championship and were 7-3 the following year. They were basically as good or better than they were in the years leading up to the SB. Then they still went on to another 10 win season before the coaching changes, aging, and the lack of player development caught up to them.

    Weird game. Jay looked a little off at times, but by and large played a pretty good game, and Fox's conservatism actually worked out because Howard was a workhorse. Vikings offense being horrible helped too.
