No it wouldn't. The Cards had NO BUSINESS being the playoffs in 2006, much less winning the World Series. The Giants on the other hand would have earn it. Winning something like 11 in a row on the road, and beating TB/Dallas/GB in route to the Super Bowl, tells me, they want it. Much like the Steelers of a couple of yrs back. Don't even compare the joke of the 06 Cards to this yr's Giants team, cause they are not comparable. Sure, whatever.. "They want it" The second lowest seed in the NFC winning the Super Bowl is a joke. Flukes like that will happen now and then, but it still pisses me off when a team that's nowhere near the best wins a championship. I don't know about you but going into the playoffs, if I was going to rank the NFC teams in terms of how good I thought they were, I would have put the Giants third behind the Cowboys and Packers. Just because they're the fifth seed doesn't mean they're the fifth best team in the conference. I'm biased, but I feel like the Giants wouldn't even be there had the Bears not blown the game against them. If Hester hadn't dropped that bomb. If the defense hadn't sucked at the end. And the Bears season might have gone differently... But it's over now. I should say, I hate when a team that isn't near the best and isn't one of my teams wins a championship. Obviously, I'd have no qualms with the Cubs winning the central with 81 wins and then winning it all... :D
