    That makes two of us. I'm absolutely expecting a collapse now. Folks, this team is perfectly capable of going 4-20 and missing the playoffs altogether. It's not likely, though. Probably no more than a 20% chance. no, it's not. hahahahh 20% chance wtf?

    Yeah, I hear ya...even with a loss, the Cubs are still 31 games over 500, firmly in first place with the best record in the NL...Definite panic time. How, exactly, does the situation you describe differ from 1969? There's a wild card now... which makes a huge difference

    We'll score one next inning, have the tying run on 3rd with 1 out... and then two guys will strike out looking on pitches right down the middle... just to make it as frustrating as possible (ala the Baltimore game)

    How about on Bob Howry? Or on our manager for bringing him in... and for making countless other idiotic calls throughout the game? Seems a bit much to pin it on a guy who went 2 for 5 or something if you are gonna pin it on one guy.
