  1. Rondo could have. Tony Allen woulda done a better job too. The Celtics had one of their worst on the ball defenders on him the whole game. Gordon's performance just exposed Rivers more than anything else. A gimpy Rondo like you had in the second half?
  2. Jared (Myrtle Beach, SC): Would you take Rose or Rondo to be your PG of the future? Chad Ford: I'd have to say Rose. He reminds me of a 6-foot-3 LeBron James. A lethal combination of power and speed. However, Rondo's been AMAZING. I'm still trying to figure out how he slipped so far in the draft. The Hawks, who were in desperate need of point guard, took Sheldon Williams, ahead of him. Both will be All-Stars in for years.
  3. (JordanMontana) [via mobile]: Do the Bulls have any chance of pulling this thing out or did last night get the Celtics over the hump? Chad Ford: I think the Bulls have the advantage. They are confident. They are attacking the Celtics. And they are healthy. I think Bulls win this in six. Celtics just are struggling upfront.
  4. Or the Celtics just aren't that good without one of the best defensive and offensive big men in the game.
  5. +1 I said to myself -- they'll never get that stop, too much time, too little defense. Sure enough, couldn't get that stop. I'm trying to tell myself that we accomplished what we wanted to. We flipped home court advantage, got a big road win, and we play better at home. Somehow that's not totally helping feeling horrible about losing that game though. We had it. I don't think it's our defense that's that bad... it's our defensive rebounding that makes us suck. It probably has something to do with the fact that we like to go off into transition so much. Anyway, we made Boston shoot the most difficult shot we could've asked for. Tie game and Ray Allen is shooting a 3 over a seven footer while falling backwards. He just made a tough shot. Ugh.
  6. It's gonna be 4 on 5 by game 6. Should be a close one. big baby will just go off for 40 in game 3
  7. Powe out for the year. Torn ACL and meniscus.
  8. i wonder how rondo's leg is going to react... those things get worse, not better, after a night's sleep. lucky for him he has until thursday.
  9. I wonder if the Bulls feel discouraged by last night or if it's more like a, "we can beat them," mindset now. It's a painful way to lose, but knowing that boston barely escaped with a home win is a nice feather in the cap.
  10. Huh? Noah has been outstanding so far in the playoffs, so I'm not sure what your beef is. In fact, he's played great basketball for most of the season, especially after the All-Star break. The Bulls have enough problems defending, so I'd hate to see their defense without Noah. This.
  11. I still feel sick about last night. FU Ray Allen and FU Bulls for not getting any freaking defensive boards after stops
  12. http://www.fannation.com/si_blogs/staff/posts/47162-si-players-nba-poll-which-nba-player-thinks-hes-a-lot-better-than-he-really-is
  13. Of all the people to be talking trash about everybody having their night, Kendrick Perkins mouths off. Kendrick Perkins is the blind squirrel who may someday find a nut, not Derrick Rose. Trash players talking trash. Give me a break.
  14. Awesome breakdown on Rose's game the other day. You won't regret reading it. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/truehoop/0-39-94/Derrick-Rose-Breaks-Out.html
  15. I'm pretty sure 98 was the year Sosa learned to draw walks. Same year he became a completely different and much better offensive player. Not that it matters. Just saying.
  16. Easily the most underrated RBI guy in all of baseball, and has been for several years now. I dunno, I feel like most everyone knows how good Aramis is. He's very good and elite for his position. Everyone except maybe Sox fans, who think Crede >>>>> Aramis. Is Crede still on the Sox? Twins

  18. Marmol gave up back to back doubles and a HBP and Gregg got out of the jam. Ah. Nice. Thanks.
  19. So I left after Marmol got out of the 7th...didn't come back till the 10th... can someone explain what happened in the 8th? Did Lou bring Marmol out and he gave up a run? Gregg give up an inherited runner?
  20. If we can steal game one on the road, stuff gets really interesting.
  21. I wanted Kirk to make that so bad.
