lmao people are so pissed because the Cubs are awesome. Also, I know typical Chicago sports radio drivel, but I heard multiple people on the score speculate that the Cubs might end up being accused of tampering and losing draft picks. I'm pretty sure that until a FA has signed on the dotted line, clubs are able to freely speak with and negotiate with a FA. Idiots. I managed to hear about 10 min of Chris Rongey last night, scratching his head about why Fowler would only want a 1 year deal...and how dumb it was, etc... A bunch of texters/emailers must've explained how week next years crop of outfielders is, but he dismissed that as a huge risk because of possibly being injured or bad this year. I agree with Rongey that it wasn't exactly a smart decision financially. Not at all, really. I think he opted for comfort and winning and a little possible contractual upside. I don't see him getting much more money next year, weaker crop aside. He'll be a year older, will be in at least somewhat less of an everyday role, and who knows if he'll have as productive a season.

I'm not sure I'd call him defensive minded, but last I checked, Chris Denorfia's a free agent. Maybe offer him an MiLB deal? He had his moments. Dude

My issue here isn't so much caring about who said it or anything like that, but being completely flabbergasted at people thinking that that is somehow Theo talking.

I don't think Theo would say that as the top baseball executive of the Cubs. That would be unprofessional. That wasn't Theo. Theo might say that...or at least something similar. He said something like "That was some Godfather horsefeathers," today and has been known to say some stuff like that in the past, but in this case, Theo did not say that.

So far, they've done 20-100. Top 20 will be on MLBN at 8...I think. Stealing this from GRB: How many Cubs in top 20? Rizzo, Bryant, Arrieta... I felt like Lester should've been in the top 100 somewhere, but then I look at the pitchers in the back end of that list and ehhh...

that is so obviously dexter fowler's voice and theo is so obviously not talking when he turns his head toward fowler while fowler is saying mfers that i can't even wrap my head around the idea that you could possibly be serious. i have a less difficult time comprehending the idea that the universe is infinite than i do of someone being this assertively wrong. and theo has his head tilted back the whole horsefeathering time, including leading up to that walk. it's because swag.

Man he looks like he should hit for a lot more power than he does. ?? He had 17 HR last year with a .160 ISO and hit 2 more in the playoffs
