    i don't get as excited for spring training broadcasts as much as i used to but for some reason i find these espn ones fun maybe it's the fact that they're night games and i have a game to come home to after work

    But would anyone sign him? By then there's a good chance both leagues will have the DH. That would open more possibilities. Maybe Seattle would bring him back ala the Cubs bringing back Maddux to win his 300th game. You seem a lot more optimistic than me on the NL dh.

    That ending makes a lot more sense though. If she was really trying to lose why not trade Vaughn, Dorn etal. for prospects that would be ready in a couple years after they had moved the team? Plus, once they started winning enough games to get into contention that would have already voided the clause about moving the team for falling below X attendance level. I believe the clause required something like a [expletive] ton of sellouts down the stretch. Huh? It was an escape clause in the event of absurdly poor attendance, wasn't it?

    Yup. IIRC all parties involved decided it wouldn't work at all if they went that direction and changed it to her continuing to be a villain. That ending makes a lot more sense though. Because Vaughn was supposed to suck and Dorn was just high priced. Nobody was going to give up good things for them just because they were starting to have decent seasons. Teams in real life that are trying to tank don't do that stuff that you're saying.
