  1. definitely looks emaciated /mojo
  2. Should only get better now with their brand new huge clean food prep area
  3. Yeah...we don't have any crazy ass stuff and that's fine. I just want good Hot Dougs stuff in the main concourse damnit. Or at least let us walk over to the bleachers to get them (probably a lot harder to manage if they don't want people raiding the bleachers).
  4. https://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20160331/wrigleyville/not-your-average-wiener-wrigley-fields-new-food-menu-is-sausage-paradise?utm_content=buffer03970&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer Pretty bummed that Hot Doug's is going to remain a bleacher exclusive, since you can't access them from the rest of the park. I thought they had said last year that it would be coming to the rest of the concourse stands as they renovated, and they renovated the 3B side this winter.
  5. i kinda think 7 is likely, given how many guys we have who can top out there. hell, we had one last year. and we had another half a win away who didn't play for 2 weeks.
  6. Just something I was thinking about. We have a lot of guys you can project to be around 5 win players, give or take one...Arrieta, Lester, Rizzo, Bryant, Heyward, Schwarber...you could even throw Zobrist and Russell into the mix as wild cards, just maybe not as solidly as those other guys. For reference, Harper and Trout were the only players in this category last year. Josh Donaldson was just short. Trout was around 8 the year before and just over 10 the year before that. So it's pretty damn rare. Was thinking about this and how we don't have a super-duper star like those guys, but with that many opportunities, we might have a guy have enough things to go right to get there, or just some crazy breakout waiting to happen from a guy who is already damn good (i.e. Addison...he has the skill-set being a premium defender at a premium position where if he can be just a pretty good offensive player, he's going to put up big time WAR totals). BTW, It's very hard to get there as a pitcher, maybe even impossible by practical standards, so I shouldn't have even mentioned Arrieta and Lester. Kershaw and Jake didn't even get there last year and they were ridiculously amazing for 230 innings. I just listed them because they fit that 5ish win description. Vote and discuss.

  8. Nobody suggested that. You clearly misinterpreted what Tim said. How did I misinterpret this? I read it as "no other religions encourage their adherents to proselytize" Is this not what you meant, Tim? it's pretty obviously not what he meant he said nobody on this board/in this conversation was encouraging anyone of any religion to push their beliefs on others
  9. that occurred to me. still would seem weird to fly out here just to check it out and then fly back out west for a game tomorrow (not that all of them will play)...still, that's probably the most likely reason.
  10. What in the ever loving crap does that isis story have to do with Tim's comment about people not being encouraged to push their beliefs on others on this forum? Also, it's really doubtful that is his favorite song. If he's playing his wife's (awful) music he's trying to promote his wife's (awful) music. Like if one of these guys was married to One Direction and played their music in their walk up, that would suck. Someone suggested that no other religion pushes their beliefs on others. I implied that a group of people who were killing people for their differing religious views were doing just that. Its pretty straightforward. I'm not pushy with my beliefs. In fact, I've been in this forum 13 years, and I'd venture to say that none of you even know what my religious views are. But I kind get sick of the "everyone should express themselves, but if Christians express themselves in EXACTLY the same way, its pushy" mantra. Nobody suggested that. You clearly misinterpreted what Tim said.
  11. i was confused since there are still ST games left, and then i saw that we're playing the mets tomorrow. what sort of demonry is this? edit: oh, it's the las vegas games...so i'm still confused as to why rizzo and bryant are here...especially since his fiance was posting excitedly about being home (in vegas)
  12. probably the same place you go to unsubscribe to snobbery about people entertaining people/children in giant novelty costumes crossing into your field of vision
  13. i noticed that just after i posted it. http://chicagocubsonline.com/archives/2015/04/cubs-announce-affiliate-station-guide-for-television-and-radio-broadcasts.php looks like last year's affiliates were announced on april 1st, so i'm sure you'll hear official word soon either way
  14. myTV in Chicago is wpwr...that's what i figured you meant otherwise i guess it depends what city you live in and what your myTV affiliate is this might help http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/schedule/affiliates.jsp

  16. [tweet] [/tweet] hahaha rizzo getting him to do the sky point
  17. i got the n&g joke fwiw
  18. plus nobody here was encouraging ISIS beheading people
  19. bigger net drop/gain between castro to zobrist and coghlan to fowler? as much as i want to say it's close to a wash just because i hated that coghlan song so much, really castro to zobrist is a considerably bigger loss than the other gain
  20. I missed where anyone of other religions was being encouraged to push their beliefs on others. Really?!? 1. I don't see how playing your favorite song in the same way your teammates are playing theirs is pushing anything. 2. http://www.ijreview.com/2015/02/251741-isis-terrorists/ i have no idea what point you think you're making with that link
  21. Zobrist uses his wife's Christian songs--so yeah, be worried. Because everyone should be encouraged to express themselves except Christians. This is getting tired. while i personally wouldn't want any religious stuff blasted in my ears at a baseball game, it's got much more to do with the fact that the music sucks than anything about the actual religion.
  22. there's nothing crazy about people not knowing him, but he's probably as well known as a fringe MLB player can be. i'm a little surprised that there are posters here who are unaware of him, especially since he's on the cubs now. the clips of him on youtube have a couple million views iirc. i know they have gone a little viral, as friends of mine who have little to no interest in baseball have shown me them over the years.
  23. http://i.imgur.com/1w3mdz7.jpg aerial from yesterday
  24. Bryant hit 9 HRs in ST last year yeah but that was just bryant being bryant, not bryant showing signs of a breakout plus he didn't even hit 3x that many in the regular season. pshh.
  25. i think kevin orie had a monster spring in 98. then he hit like 7 would be HR that were blown in in april. then RIP kevin orie's career.
