    Nobody suggested that. You clearly misinterpreted what Tim said. How did I misinterpret this? I read it as "no other religions encourage their adherents to proselytize" Is this not what you meant, Tim? it's pretty obviously not what he meant he said nobody on this board/in this conversation was encouraging anyone of any religion to push their beliefs on others

    that occurred to me. still would seem weird to fly out here just to check it out and then fly back out west for a game tomorrow (not that all of them will play)...still, that's probably the most likely reason.

    What in the ever loving crap does that isis story have to do with Tim's comment about people not being encouraged to push their beliefs on others on this forum? Also, it's really doubtful that is his favorite song. If he's playing his wife's (awful) music he's trying to promote his wife's (awful) music. Like if one of these guys was married to One Direction and played their music in their walk up, that would suck. Someone suggested that no other religion pushes their beliefs on others. I implied that a group of people who were killing people for their differing religious views were doing just that. Its pretty straightforward. I'm not pushy with my beliefs. In fact, I've been in this forum 13 years, and I'd venture to say that none of you even know what my religious views are. But I kind get sick of the "everyone should express themselves, but if Christians express themselves in EXACTLY the same way, its pushy" mantra. Nobody suggested that. You clearly misinterpreted what Tim said.

    i was confused since there are still ST games left, and then i saw that we're playing the mets tomorrow. what sort of demonry is this? edit: oh, it's the las vegas games...so i'm still confused as to why rizzo and bryant are here...especially since his fiance was posting excitedly about being home (in vegas)

    i noticed that just after i posted it. http://chicagocubsonline.com/archives/2015/04/cubs-announce-affiliate-station-guide-for-television-and-radio-broadcasts.php looks like last year's affiliates were announced on april 1st, so i'm sure you'll hear official word soon either way

    bigger net drop/gain between castro to zobrist and coghlan to fowler? as much as i want to say it's close to a wash just because i hated that coghlan song so much, really castro to zobrist is a considerably bigger loss than the other gain

    Zobrist uses his wife's Christian songs--so yeah, be worried. Because everyone should be encouraged to express themselves except Christians. This is getting tired. :roll: while i personally wouldn't want any religious stuff blasted in my ears at a baseball game, it's got much more to do with the fact that the music sucks than anything about the actual religion.

    there's nothing crazy about people not knowing him, but he's probably as well known as a fringe MLB player can be. i'm a little surprised that there are posters here who are unaware of him, especially since he's on the cubs now. the clips of him on youtube have a couple million views iirc. i know they have gone a little viral, as friends of mine who have little to no interest in baseball have shown me them over the years.

    Bryant hit 9 HRs in ST last year yeah but that was just bryant being bryant, not bryant showing signs of a breakout plus he didn't even hit 3x that many in the regular season. pshh.

    i think kevin orie had a monster spring in 98. then he hit like 7 would be HR that were blown in in april. then RIP kevin orie's career.

    Random 29 year olds having an amazing spring isn't quite the same as a highly touted 22 continuing to show improvement. again, i have even called breakouts for russell this year. i'm just not sure what he is doing in spring is any real cause for excitement. and i'm still excited about it.

    every time i get excited about a russell breakout (not that there won't be one - i actually think he will) based on these ST bombs, i try to remember a single one of those super human ST performances that carried over and I can't think of one. was lahair amazing in ST that year?
