  1. god coomer is so fuckign bad at pbp stop subjecting us to this please
  2. I know KB was hit on the arm with the first HBP...what about the second?
  3. Might be a byproduct of trying to pitch to more contact this year (thus changing his pitch mix). He's always been kind of wild in the zone too. Misses his spots a lot but he's just so nasty it doesn't matter. Also the Brewers take a horsefeathers ton of pitches so that doesn't help...they're like 3rd in the league in P/PA.
  4. In terms of the eye test, his bat looked extremely slow to me last year, so I was pretty convinced it was old age. totally agree. after i saw him last year i was convinced i was an idiot.
  5. this was the ross i was talking about when i said he could easily have a decent offensive year because he had been a decent offensive player in the past because the sample of him sucking wasn't large enough to be sure that he sucked because he was old and not just because baseball
  6. Helps that its the brewers actually an ironic response to that post as it hurts that it's the brewers (they see lots of pitches)
  7. this is more interesting than his other numbers. Agreed
  8. I think he's ignoring you Nah, I gave him a like.
  9. If it's a defensive guy, I'll trust Fox/Fangio. I have no idea on any of these college dudes. Unless there's just some standout athletic freak that everyone knows about, I just have positional preferences when it comes to the draft and that's about it.
  10. There are sports writers/hosts in this town that still say Urlacher like "locker". I actually think I do too. I'm not sure. I think I do both.
  11. Oh yeah.
  12. I mean, that's hockey. :-" (Yes, I realize my dig is especially dumb looking after I just called her out for mispronouncing Hawks names). And Robbie Gould has been around long enough and is on, by far, the most covered team in town. Not knowing how to pronounce it at this point when you're on a sports radio station is pretty egregious IMO. He's just a horsefeathering kicker but he is one of the longest tenured players at one of the most visible positions on the most heavily covered team in town. The only way you don't know how his name is pronounced at this point if you're in Chicago is if you just don't pay attention to football.
  13. It is Robbie Goold. And what is her job? Does she have a typical female Chicago accent? Because Chicagoans in general and especially female Chicagoans really mispronounce everything. She's the update reporter on the Score and I believe she has a weekend hosting gig. Or at least she fills in from time to time. I think she's originally from the Rockford area, but don't quote me on that.
  14. Julie DiCaro certainly does not deserve that treatment (nobody does - and let me be clear that I'm not saying otherwise) but she is not good at her job. It seems like the only team she cares about or pays attention to is the Cubs. Like, who, at this point, still pronounces Robbie Gould as "Robbie Goold?" That was a thing over 10 years ago. Is it weird that this bothers me? It's just bizarre. She's worked at two sports radio stations and she consistently mispronounces that name. I've heard her butcher a bunch of Blackhawks names too. She isn't bad when talking about the Cubs, though. I've heard her on weekends. She has some meatbally baseball views (i.e. thinks Hector Rondon is shaky) but so do basically all those reporters.
  15. yep there was talk that guzman was basically another prior
  16. and the rockies tie the pirates
  17. did harold reynolds just emphatically say Sano has gold glove potential at 3B?
  18. Pirates and SF for the wild card. well, yeah, that'd be ideal, even if we have to hear about the even year crap if the pirates lose the WC game yet again (wow, that'd be sad)
  19. plesac talking up the horsefeathering mets and saying they're the 2nd best team in the NL and the cubs won't be running away from them. horsefeathers the mets. it's almost to the point that i want the cardinals to get one of the wild cards over the mets
