    you're alive?! Yeah, just superstitious. Wasn't posting much when the season got started so was waiting for a cold streak to start back. Now that its apparent one of those isn't ever happening, [expletive] it, I'll just post again. well that's not the explanation i was expecting :lol:

    There's obviously a big defensive upgrade in going that way (mainly because of how bad an outfielder Soler is), but going by anything but their surface stats, Soler has looked a lot better offensively than Baez. Unfortunately, a 150 point gap in BABIP can disguise a lot of things. Is that true though? I get that Soler's babip sucks currently. But I'm not thinking Javy's is all that unsustainable either. His contact rate is higher than Soler's amazingly enough and his LD% is higher too. I'm really not sure Soler is even a better offensive player, obviously not even taking defense into account. you're alive?!

    Maddon does that a lot. He's doing it because he likes to say stuff quirky ways, not because he doesn't know they're referred to as "runs."

    If that were really the case, I'm not sure they'd bother with Schwarber at C, much less assign him 20% of the starts there this year. More accurate would be to say that glove-first catchers are much easier to come by and they see (underappreciated/underpriced) value in them.

    Vin Scully is bad but he's still far from the worst. The Sox already have a ready-made worst booth to choose. i think you're in teh same camp as me on this...i don't hate vin scully at all. i just think he's a senile boring old man as an announcer, and, for whatever reason, the whole baseball world pretends he isn't.
