they weren't just lining up and running vanilla plays like most teams do in the first preseason game, from what i saw from a couple people on twitter. i can't speak to that much as i only watched the first series on offense and defense before switching over to the cubs game. I get what it means just not how it's a legit complaint. oh i wasn't complaining about anything. just thought it was unusual.

We're at +200 now, as I'm sure a lot of you have noticed. For reference, the 2008 team, which was legitimately great and routinely pummeled teams, was +184 on the entire season.

That's absolutely what I was thinking. I was pretty freaking pumped that night. i have no idea what our record was in that time frame (which is NBD since i think we lost both good starlin and rizzo in sept), but i remember feeling like i was watching a good team for the first time in years. and on the arrieta nights, it felt like a playoff team (in terms of my confidence going in).
