cubs related has been talking about that forever and we've kinda known about it here, too. TT just talked about it last night.

Rizzo JUST got a day off. And he's hitting .313/.353/.344 in his last 7 games, .343/.362/.433 in his last 15, so I'm not seeing any signs of any recent issues aside from the fact that he hasn't donged in the last week.

that game should've been amazing...jay's return to denver and the bears should've demolished them. the fans still were super mad at him back then so it would have been glorious. that season was heart breaking. team was absolutely rolling. The last ~5 seasons of Bears football has almost totally destroyed my interest in football. Everything from that season forward has been an unbroken line of heartbreak or outright misery. Sorry to post off topic but. Tebow. looking back, with what we've had at WR since, it's amazing we were rolling teams with johnny knox and roy williams as our wideouts. obviously, the defense helped a lot but the offense was scoring points with the opportunities.

I think MLB does plenty to market the great young players on social media. Like, they're really, really good with it.

I can't believe 27 teams showed up for that sideshow meh....i guess it's possible that he *might* be good enough at hitting a baseball to use all that strength and athleticism in some way. at least in the minors.

that's kind of weird to say since almost all of that is cutch. (nevermind, i don't think he was comparing them that way, but it kind of looks like it since the cubs' scenario is that much better)

I think some of you guys are reading this situation wrong. The Red Sox have been very clear about their interest in him. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/08/jonathan-papelbon-red-sox-reunion-increasingly-unlikely.html That clearly states that the signing is unlikely because of Papelbon's own reasons. Red Sox were (are?) definitely interested initially. Just maybe not enough for him. -

isn't there some nature vs. nurture involved in that, though? like many can probably write well with either hand if they learned (even though obviously we have some sort of predisposition to write with one hand or the other). and i bet many can learn to throw with their non dominant hand with enough practice. i guess the question is what's the threshold and is it about being able to do it equally as well with either hand or is it being able to do it at an acceptable level with either hand. like if i can write or throw well with my left but i clearly write or throw better with my right, does that count?

Clearly, he's ambidextrous if anything. This just leaves me to daydream about how well he might hit righties if he would switch hit. Also insane how hard and accurately he can throw. Wonder if he can come close throwing lefty.
