I have ZERO issue with this article and wish there were more of them so that more people would understand this instead of having misguidedly high expectations and then considering the team a failure or saying they choked if/when they lose. Can't tell you how many people I heard saying stuff like, "Same old Cubs," last year after the NLCS. Like, oh, really? Same old Cubs get to the league championship series and win 97 games on the backs of a bunch of guys in their early 20's. Yep, sure thing.

I can handle a tie game in the 9th if the Cubs are up 3-0. Especially if the payoff is having Javy's glorious bat-flip etched upon our collective consciousness forever. But we're getting ahead of ourselves now, David. I forgot...who won the all-star game this year? AL. Cubs'll be at home when they win it.

So Ronald Torreyes has a 115 wRC+ in 112 PA for the Yankees. Huh. .298/.348/.452 For shits and giggles, add the 8 PA he had with the Dodgers last year and he's got a .300/.353/.455 career line in 120 MLB PA. Actually, the most shocking thing to me is that he's still only 23 (and, oddly enough, just turned that 2 hours ago).
