  1. Trout is old news and on a shitty old boring team. Bryzzo is where it's at.
  2. I haven't remotely noticed anything like that as far as posting clips. I see MLB vines and gifs/clips constantly. You're literally describing the exact opposite of my perception.
  3. I think MLB does plenty to market the great young players on social media. Like, they're really, really good with it.
  4. I can't believe 27 teams showed up for that sideshow meh....i guess it's possible that he *might* be good enough at hitting a baseball to use all that strength and athleticism in some way. at least in the minors.
  5. the dude is an Adonis
  6. no, see, i think you're misinterpreting it just like i did, which is fair when you look at our embarrassment of riches. he's saying both are great values, i'm almost positive.
  7. [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. that's kind of weird to say since almost all of that is cutch. (nevermind, i don't think he was comparing them that way, but it kind of looks like it since the cubs' scenario is that much better)
  9. I think some of you guys are reading this situation wrong. The Red Sox have been very clear about their interest in him. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/08/jonathan-papelbon-red-sox-reunion-increasingly-unlikely.html That clearly states that the signing is unlikely because of Papelbon's own reasons. Red Sox were (are?) definitely interested initially. Just maybe not enough for him.
  10. isn't there some nature vs. nurture involved in that, though? like many can probably write well with either hand if they learned (even though obviously we have some sort of predisposition to write with one hand or the other). and i bet many can learn to throw with their non dominant hand with enough practice. i guess the question is what's the threshold and is it about being able to do it equally as well with either hand or is it being able to do it at an acceptable level with either hand. like if i can write or throw well with my left but i clearly write or throw better with my right, does that count?
  11. Clearly, he's ambidextrous if anything. This just leaves me to daydream about how well he might hit righties if he would switch hit. Also insane how hard and accurately he can throw. Wonder if he can come close throwing lefty.
  12. he's also the guy who shared an agent with pujols who, when he met with him, we thought theo was kidding when he told reporters on MLBN "he's also rodrigo lopez's agent."
  13. He's probably still salty he was traded for John Grabow or Matt Lawton or whoever the hell he was traded for Bobby Hill Huh? It was Grabow and Gorzelanny
  14. here's the misery porn you seek http://www.pittsburghsports.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15075&start=100

  16. i'm not even joking, when i realized we had the top of the order up and locke made the final out in the previous inning, i was over 70% sure that we'd at least tie it
  17. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
  18. oh my god i thought it happened...i really did :(
  19. javy is capable of being a really good hitter...which is cool because we already have a few of those
