    Maybe I'm just old and dead inside, or maybe I'm haunted by the fact that we were bad in 2012, but this stuff just doesn't feel as transcendent as it did when I was a kid or even in my 20s. If they win in game 5 while I'm out doing other things, I'll check my phone and see that they won and be happy. I'll watch all the replays and buy some merchandise and read the threads. Hell, if any of the games I'm home for turn into a five-hour extra inning monstrosity, I might just wait till the morning for the end of those too. If this is how you feel, what the hell are you doing even posting on a Cubs message board?

    Someone texted me and said that Joe confirmed on this program that Schwarber was going to make the WS roster, barring any setbacks today. Anyone catch this? Nope. Roster decisions being made in meetings later today. Not at all confirmed. Sounds like he did allude to it happening as long as all went well. I didn't actually hear the interview myself, though.

    As great of a story it would be for Schwarber to make the roster, I can't help but think LaStella is the better option. I want it to be Schwarber, but he can't play defense and would be a liability on the bases, so it's basically home run or nothing. I won't be surprised at all if the Cubs decide to go the safe route. We have potentially four DH games.
