  2. you guys are overreacting to a bad non-ball 4 call on a pitcher with the bases loaded in a 9 run game that thing would've had to been too far for the catcher to reach to not get called strike 3
  3. A couple Cubs fans argue and this dude decides to talk crap. [tweet] [/tweet] This guy has a lot of Cubs and Cubs fans takes [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]

  6. the game tracker thing at the bottom of the mlb.tv radio broadcast page is so bad it might as well not even be there
  7. he was probably being shielded a lot more in those stretches though. dude's got a 158 wRC+ and .405 wOBA through 132 PA right now. basically playing everyday. oh and his strikeout rate is 19.7% LOL. I think parts of it are definitely real (he’s definitely not as free swinging anymore like the K rate shows) but he still isn’t walking at all so he’s going to have to keep getting a lucky with the batted balls to stay all-star level productive I’d guess i mean his babip is only .295.
  8. FWIW, i don't remember him having a stretch of his career this good for over a month, fwiw. and there are tangible and noticeable differences in what he's doing at the plate. will be interesting to see how the league adjusts back. He put up an .899 in 06/2016 and a .846 in 07/2016, bookended by .551 and .594. That's about as hot as he's been, as I can tell, and I forgot how good he was last year...851 OPS in the second half. It's not the 'ideal' type of a high OPS, but I'll more than take it. he was probably being shielded a lot more in those stretches though. dude's got a 158 wRC+ and .405 wOBA through 132 PA right now. basically playing everyday. oh and his strikeout rate is 19.7% LOL.
  9. facing the marlins pitching staff at wrigley with 40 mph wind gusts blowing out
  10. eh, i get it if he's with kids. but otherwise, a vacation day without a drink is a wasted vacation day if you ask me.

  12. I'm 35. Meh.
  13. This is the only time Maples was passed over. All of the guys called up besides Hancock were long men/spot starters, something Maples isn’t. And I’d probably have called up Maples over Hancock. How come? I know it's only 14 and 10 innings, but Maples is still walking everyone and Hancock isn't...and it's not like Maples has some long track record of success to where you lean his way. And both throw very hard.
  14. this is a really long-winded and goofy way of asking "what cubs jersey would you buy" lol [tweet] [/tweet]
