Strange thing was that tonight was the opposite. MSU was deeper and more talented, but the press got to them in the second half, it definitely looked like they wore down.

Why do you do this to me Mizzou? I would've been okay losing by 8-10 and knowing that MSU is a Final 4 contender, but you have to make a miracle comeback fall just short and extend my agony.

Whistlefests really irritate me. 21 fouls called in the first 15 minutes of this game. Michigan State leads by 13.

ESPN's Duke obsession forces them to put Duke/Princeton on national TV(rather than MSU/Mizzou). Duke's up over 20 and they aren't 10 minutes in. Quality decision there.

Was it both? I heard it was just KU's AD moving this year's game for some extra ca$h. No, it was a joint effort, next year's game is definitely at Arrowhead too. Columbia business owners(Lawrence too, if they actually exist) were not pleased about the decision. -

It isn't. The winner (Mizzou) is losing to OU. It's really just a game to decide who plays in the Holiday Bowl (we both know the Cotton bowl is taking Texas and OU is getting the only BCS berth if they beat a 1 loss Mizzou) If we've learned anything, it's that OU is much better at home than elsewhere, and Mizzou gave them all they can handle in Norman. Who deserves that spot over Mizzou if they were to win out? They'd have a Top 10 win, be 3-1 or 4-1 against Top 30 teams, and the best loss of any 1 loss team(save maybe Arizona St.) I'd was debating the Kansas as a top ten team as well. They'd be 0-0 against top tens teams and 3-1 against top 30 teams (OU, Illinois, Kansas). I am not so sure a 1 loss Big XII team is more impressive than a 2 loss SEC or Pac 10 team. I don't see how you couldn't be sure. The SOS would be equivalent, the number of quality teams played/defeated would be equivalent, and most importantly, Mizzou would have avoided screwing the pooch by losing to mediocrity like Stanford or Arizona or Kentucky or South Carolina.

Mizzou controls their own destiny. By winning out they default to number 2 in the BCS, and no one is going to jump them since their last 2 games are against the #2 team and another Top 15 team, both on neutral fields.

my mistake. i was thinking that a bowl could take the SEC #4 over an SEC #2 if they want (since three bowls are "tied-in" to SEC They can. I think Meph was talking about BCS bowls, which is a different story.
