  1. Who pitches for that long? We'd have to run everyone but Z out there to do it.
  2. Fred do you get overtime for extra innings? Only as much as Ron does.
  3. At this point the Cubs are out of both bullpen arms and guys off the bench, I wonder if Dusty has given up? If the game isn't over soon, we'll be up a creek without a paddle.
  4. Just because you have to be clocked in doesn't mean you have to work
  5. Z actually almost beat that out; for a big guy he can really move!
  6. Dempster is the only pitcher left I believe, so he's got to. He's a starter, and didn't go too long his last outing so he can be stretched out a little bit here.
  7. Nice 53-hop throw back to the infield, Jacque.
  8. That probably would have cleared Wrigley's LF wall Yep, it would've gone onto the concourse behind the Crawford boxes.
  9. Damn, that foul almost gave me a heart attack.
  10. I turned the game off figuring it was over, but forgot to close gameday. When I went to close it, I saw the game was still going
  11. I recall saying something about Ceda's GO-FO rate, but not Huseby's. It wouldn't surprise me though because I'm skeptical of young pitchers with extreme FO tendencies.
  12. Wow, if we aren't in Mickey Mouse Park, I think that's one's out.
  13. Dusty is drunk Maybe if he trips over the chalk line coming in for a double switch, they'll give him a breathalizer, and lock him up.
  14. Maybe this has been covered already, but why in the heck is Pagan hitting 3rd, and in front of both ARam and Jones tonight?
  15. I'm curious on why that would happen? I wonder how much of it would have to do with stretching or lack of. I would think it would be a lack of actual game action, in which case there wouldn't be a whole lot that could be done to prevent it. I think a lot of these injuries are also due to bad technique and bad form by the younger players as the games go on. With LB's and S's they get lazy by not squaring up to the LOS and not wrapping up, instead you see guys start diving for legs which can cause some bad things to happen. You also see it with O-lineman who can't move their feet quick enough, and either get tangled up with someone or have someone come down on the backs of their legs. I don't think it has to do with a lack of stretching because to them a game is a game; everyone still goes out onto the field and does their pre-game warmups, goes to get taped up, and approaches it like a regular game.
  16. Please don't take NCCF with you to the game :).
  17. Greenway tore his ACL and is out for the year. At first I thought you were kidding. Whoa, that's a pretty big blow. I admit I wasn't really watching the game close last night. I missed it. Yeah, that's a big one. I didn't pay much attention to the game either, but from what I've found he hurt it covering a kickoff no less. I think this is the most injury-filled preseason I can think of in recent years, the rate of guys going down is incredible.
  18. Greenway tore his ACL and is out for the year.
  19. No Veal today? I thought Veal and Gallagher had been going on the same day?
  20. After Green's comments earlier today, I wonder what kind of reception he'll give Leinart?
