    I think I have heard that story before. Was not a Baker lover, but this team does not look much different than year's past. Stupid mistakes, inconsistent, but now more expensive. The team is more expensive but we've also got more talent. We didn't lose anybody important from last year. We upgraded CF and 2B, plus DLee has been healthy so far. At the very least, Lou has been throwing different lineups out trying to get something to click and he's brought in additional coaches to try and remedy our problems quickly instead of just making excuses. Our pitching is finally coming together and this team is no longer dependent on Prior or Wood.

    And they do, and now Mil and Houston are tied for the division lead. HOU 9-6 MIL 9-7 My math sucks tonight. So Houston is up by .5 game. And I guess we're 4 back now.

    I really hate the Astros, but with the Brewers in the division lead I'm really split on the outcome of this game.

    Trever Miller now in and he's got a 7.71 ERA, this looks promising for the Brewers.

    Ok on one of my teams I was hoping that the youth movement would take off so at SS I picked up Stephen Drew and Tulowitski, neither of which are producing. Some of the FA SS's in my league are Maicer Izturis, Wilson Valdez, Jack Wilson, Greene, and J.J. Hardy. Would I be better off picking one of them up or sticking with what I've got? In another league I've got Conor Jackson and Gary Sheffield at 1B and both have been struggling pretty badly too. In FA there are players like Shawn Green, Dmitri Young, Xavier Nady, and Mike Jacobs. I'm thinking about dropping Tulowitski and picking up Izturis in the first league, and dropping Jackson for Nady in the 2nd league. Does anyone have any input on this?

    I agree that we need to turn it around fairly quickly, but as bad as we've been we're only 3.5GB of 1st. The offense will come around eventually, once Soriano, ARam, DLee, and Barrett all get going at the same time this offense will take off.

    Wow, the Red Sox have come all the way back to tie it and Rivera has blown the save.

    Someone said a few days ago that his grandpa died and that's why he missed a few games. But I also saw that he's PH the last few days. I don't know why he's out though. CPatt was activated from the bereavement list because of the death of his grandfather a few days ago, so I'd guess EPatt had the same problem.

    That's pretty much Isringhausen's MO, too. The thing is, he hasn't blown a save yet to my knowledge. He's due. He's looked pretty good this year. illiniguy has dibs on Taguchi, but Isringhausen is all yours. I hear he only comes as a "package deal" with Edmonds.

    We're talking about a bloop hit down the LF line that Floyd played into a triple. Even if he had cut the ball off it would have been a double.

    Makes no sense. He was hitting HRs last year with half a wrist. he hit one after the injury. Which is 1 more than all of this year.
