    Bryant is a damn fine 3B. Zobrist is meh at 2B at this point. Defense at 2B is more important than at 3B is more important than at LF. This is easy. Put the best defender (Baez) at the most important position (2B). Put the next best defender (Bryant) at the next most important position (3B). Put Zobrist where he'll hurt the team the least in the field (LF).

    Yeah I misspoke really, what I meant is I'd rather have Baez's defense at 2b, Bryant is more than capable at 3b, and Zobrist is fine in the outfield. I think the Baez > Zobrist at 2b is more valuable than Baez > Bryant at 3b, but we're still trying to gauge Bryant as a major league third basemen really. No, we're really not. He's a very good one. And I was one of the longest to hold out. Just ask Tim and Gilby. It's true.

    Him sucking makes me nearly as happy as having wainwright suck.

    I think the desire to give Zobrist a consistent spot makes giving him LF harder. They still want to give Soler a decent number of at bats. That becomes very difficult if Zobrist is in the OF. With Zobrist at 2B, it's easier to shuttle guys in and out.

    i wouldn't say either of those things I don't know why people would be upset with Ben Zobrist so long as he's OBPing between .380 and .390 He's not upset with Zobrist at all. He's suggesting Zobrist to LF full time.

    That Russell-Baez MIF is very sexy on defense.

    It's a better bet to say that we'll likely be a starter short due to injury or performance by that point.
