    The problem with it being May is that "deadline rumor" sounds pretty lame at this point, too. Define "shut down reliever" - for example, is Strop a shut down reliever? How many of those guys are out there and how many will be on the block?

    Would one of their pitcher's have to be put on the DL for him to come back up before like 10 days? I forget the rules or if there even is one. Somebody would have to be put on the DL if it is within 10 days. Doesn't matter if it is a pitcher or not. I would guess it could also be the concussion list, bereavement list, etc.

    This is really the key. If you told me he's got Ross-level receiving skills, I might put him as the #2 guy in baseball right now behind Moncada. But if he has Castillo-level receiving skills, he's much further down the list.

    There are currently three teams in baseball with a winning percentage of .600 or better. There's Boston at exactly .600. Then there's SF at .608. The Cubs are at .708.
