    I almost feel like we should go back to the 2002-era marketing. Not the "Thick and thin" stuff, but rather the "Hey! Look, which star we're playing against tonight!"

    That was pretty awesome. These are easily my two favorite point guards in the league. It was a clear offensive foul, though. Deron blatantly pushed off. I didn't get to see the play until after I read the descriptions here, I was expecting a true posterization, not a 2 on 1.

    I think a batter chasing a pitcher with a bat all the way into the outfield is pretty epic and the benches clearing isn't basically termed a "brawl" these days? You see, I told you we had different standards. :grin:

    You're a fan of both the Cards and the Cubs? C'mon. While I imagine its a rare breed, keep in mind that all of central/southern Illinois is split to varying degrees of Cards/Cubs. I know several people who grew up in Cubs/Sox households and do like both teams. I assume the same thing happens down south. ETA: I don't buy Magdal's story or a word he (she?) types.

    We have very different standards for both the word "epic" and the word "brawl". As far as I can tell, our views on the word "Cuban" do align.

    If they can trade Silva for him, sure. That would be sweet. They can't do that. That would be Jim Hendry owning up to two mistakes. Wasn't the dumping of Bradley (trading for Silva) him owning up to a mistake?

    Does the cat need medication or something? We leave our cat home alone for a couple days when we go out of town because it's easier than traveling with him. We just leave a big bowl of food and a clean litterbox and he's fine. Any cat I've ever met would prefer the owners not be around anyways.
