  1. Much more brisk game than Monday.
  2. OK Aramis. I'm on Irving Park. I want to catch this one.
  3. Got a rousing boo after going 2-for-4 on Monday.
  4. Strikeout rate PLUMMETED that inning.
  5. How would one fail an ACT? You are just given a number. I assume they're using "fail" as shorthand for failed to get necessary score to be admitted to a college. "Failing" for one player is differerent than "failing" by another depending on what their high school GPAs were. So hypothetically, (I don't know their admission guidelines) an applicant to Harvard, who scored a 30, failed the ACT?
  6. How would one fail an ACT? You are just given a number. You can't fail an ACT. So I don't understand what SSR is going for. Rose is no Myron Rolle, but he isn't stupid by any means. Well SSR is just restating what the article indicates, which is three failures.

  8. why does it have to be a big market team that trades for him? we've seen lots of blockbuster trades with stud players going to teams that didn't extend them. I'm not really remembering many, which trades are you talking about? CC? Teixeira?
  9. Wallace being Wallace.
  10. i've always wondered why the majority of forwards in the nhl shoot left-handed, while it's the opposite in baseball. i very seriously doubt most are left-handed. are they just given left-handed sticks when they start playing? I am right handed but (used to) play hockey left handed. I think there a many reasons why young players do this, not just better shooting angles against RHed goalies. I am not sure of all the reasons why I played LHed except that is how my dad started me and I was capable enough with my LH to do it. I always thought I was a better defensive player because I could one hand the stick with my dominate hand, which is harder to do if you shoot with your dominate hand. I'm left-handed for athletics, and I shot RH and found the same defensive benefit.
  11. I'll be online betting on this game
  12. In my two (brief) interctions with him, he was more than a capable, functioning adult. Not a big deal, just a sign of ignorance. I was pointing out an error, so he could learn and improve. He tried to defend it, I responded. Edit: Mineaswell move on, their are bigger issues Pot, meet Kettle. :-)) not that garwilly needs defending, but the first one is a typo missing 1 letter. much different than not knowing what literally means and defending your incorrect usage. the second was sarcasm. if you haven't seen "mineaswell" in a Cubbiebum post yet, you haven't been paying much attention. It doesn't matter. If you are going to run around being the grammar police, then make sure you own posts are correct, even typos. There's no need to run around correcting every one around here. Like the other guy said, everyone knew what he meant when he typed literally. What's the deal with "mineaswell"? I just figured it was one of those things like southerners saying "welp" instead of welt. Or "flicked off" instead of "flipped off". Those were both quite intentional.

  15. You realize there is something called a mental age and Bradley is literally still a 10-year old temper tantrum prone kid in that respect. The word you should have used is "figuratively". It's ok to admit mistakes. I didn't make a mistake you just took it wrong. It's obvious he is physically not a 10-year old anymore making it pretty obvious what I was talking about his mental age. Sorry next time I'll explain it clear as day so you don't get confused. A) Still used the word incorrectly. B) I'd like to know what file you saw that diagnosed his "mental age". I am guessing Pelosi asked you not to reveal that though.

  17. I don't think you know what "literally" means.
  18. Unfortunately no. They could still both end up 52-30 and the first tiebreaker would be division winners not head to head and Boston would own that tiebreaker. You sure? This page makes it sound like it's head-to-head: http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html It pretty clearly says division winner.
  19. Also, I got 1st and 4th with my two lineups in the Masters pool (out of 187). I was in 1st and 2nd mid-way through the final round, but faded, ended up bringing in $960 for first.
