This guy looks pretty good, and prefers to be a starting pitcher, the role he was in his entire career til he joined the ML team. The Mets need an OFer with Alou out, and we have too many, how about Jones + Eyre for Heilman. then Guz can close and Heilman become the 5th starter. Dempster then could be used as one of the set up men in the set up group of Wuertz, Dempster, Marmol, and whatever lefty decides to stop sucking. Dempster could also spot start if needed to go along with lou's weird thing hes got for demp as a starter. Then Pie and Pagan could be a RH/LH platoon, giving Pie a chance to play nearly every day, and if Floyd/Murton platoon is sucking, give Pagan the nod in right field. In the end, if Heilman doesnt work out as a starter, u call up Marshal, and insert Heilman into the set up role, a place he already has shown he can be very very good. 1. Lilly 2. Marquis 3. Hill 4. I don't know how you can be mad at Z for that. He threw two or three pitches that anyone else in baseball would have swung and missed at. That's b/c he was going for the K and not the out like he always does. Ever since Z became more of a "strikeout" pitcher, his effectiveness has decreased accordingly. He doesn't as deep into games as he used to, his groundball to fyball ratio has plummeted, and he has already given up more homers this year than he did the entire '04 (??) season. He used to be able to negate the walks by giving up few homers and enducing many a double play. Now it just doesn't happen. I wish we had that old Z back. Not quite, but close. He's given up 11 HR's this year and gave up 14 in 2004. So he'll likely have given up more sometime in June. Correct me if im wrong, but i believe hes given up more HR already than he did the whole 03 season, which i believe the total was 9. correct, sir. #12! :roll: as his HR totals continue to increase

is a worse hitter than Z, Marquis, Prior AND Wood. His arm sucks too, and seeing his errors go way up this year, he has lost any value he has whatsoever, HE SUCKS, hopefully in 08 or DP combo is ARod-Theriot

Dusty coaches high school? Dusty would have been an upgrade sadly, our coach routinely had us as high school freshman and sophomores throw upwards of 150 pitches. during a tournament last year, my coach had one of my team mates throw back to back days with a combined total around 285 pitches, and pitched me in 7 straight games, and my shortest outing was 3 innings (I was closing, not starting).

Because we have people here that did. nah dude not that old yet, i dont know about my future as a baseball player anymore i just had soldier surgery to repair a torn labrum and rotator cuff from overuse cuz my coach wasnt too good at controlling pitch count, doctor says ill be better than 100% once im done recovering but we'll see

I see you are sponsored by Ice Mountain, with that little water bottle in the corner. :wink: ya they gimme some cash for getting their bottles in my pictures, but they canceled the deal cuz of my injuy, i love knowing what mark prior feels like...the surgery blows, only 5 more months til i can throw, i assume the same for prior cuz we had the same injury and surgery and my surgery was the day after his. Make sure to mention your surgery in the next mark prior thread as well as those effects you were telling me, i.e. most people recover a lot of strength, some even better than before the surgery...etc. ya, i learned a lot about mark's situation going through this myself, most people who have written him off as done are people who don't know very much about the surgery. It's different going through it yourself and talking to all the doctors than just looking it up on the internet. Next time there is some sort of Prior is done thread, ill write something. To add also, sure I cant tell you exactly how Mark is doing since each case could be slightly different, but I can tell you how my progress is with it to give at least some information as to how he might be recovering. As of now im still sore and cant externally rotate or lift my arm above my shoulder. I start my rehab in about a week, and should be on target to throw by late september, probably october
