After today's games, we will be ONE game out of last place in the NL Central gentlemen. ONE freaking game. in Mid-June. And no changes look to be on the horizon.

I'm sick of Pierre too, but Every single leadoff hitter in the league would have been down 0-2 there. Why? Because the pitcher just grounded out, and it's pretty much a rule to take the first two pitches so that he can get settled, get water, etc.

Nope he'd bench the obp guys and make sure the free-swinging aggressive guys were playing. In the process he'd ruin the OBP guys by forcing them to change their approach.

He hasn't always. He spent a combined total of zero days on the DL in 2002 and 2003. If you think it's a good idea to give him a Burnett contract, that's fine, but I think it would be really stupid. Who said anything about a burnett contract. We're talking about picking up his option/restructuring it for next year. -
