good call. That really gets under your skin, doesn't it. Sorry dude, I say what I feel. It was looking real bad at the time. So I was wrong, I'm a big boy I can take it. Can you? Clearly it's your skin, I'm getting under. I'm happy our team won. And contrary to earlier this year, even if we're losing by one in the 8th, I think we're gonna win. Think what you want, I just thought it was a good call. Never underestimate the overwhelming power of good, solid pessimism among the fan base of a professional sports franchise. I start with pessimism then move towards hope (where I am now) and end in heart crushing defeat (2003 NLCS, 2007 Superbowl). Nothing like getting your heart torn out after an extended period of hope. But in all honesty, I don't think this team is gonna play many more games that they SHOULD win. It's gonna happen from time to time, but I don't expect it anymore. And that's a DAMN good feeling. :D

How many times does this happen to me, but I still get excited thinking about watching Woody in a cubs uniform? Even though I should no better. There's something romantic (not sexual, romantic as in romanticism) about it. Am I the only one?

Your post is a moronic idiot. Right when he brought Ohman in I said "Oh no, not Will Ohman." I think he should have left Wuertz in and thought that before Ohman served up the longball. And Ohman struck him out. Can't blame him for the umps not calling strikes. Butterfly effect. On the first one it was 1-1 count and the ball made it 2-1. If that first borderline pitch gets called a strike, Bonds wouldn't have taken the second borderline pitch. Ohman screwed it up. He gets the blame. And those weren't guaranteed strikes either. The first one was close, the second one was inside. What exactly do we have to do to stop this talk? You'd think winning 27 out of our last 40 would be good enough. It's a game thread, what do you care? You're telling me what to post now? Get over yourself. Do what you want, I'm not telling you anything. Post that there are purple elephants running around wrigley for all I care. I'm just wondering what it will take from this team for it to stop.
