GREAT job by Howry only giving up one with the bases loaded no outs. Nice to have a reliever who won't walk people in those situations.

Teams go through rough patches and good patches, it happens. Not to mention yesterday's game was a little bit of bad luck as well. It's pretty hard to have 17 baserunners and only get 2 runs. Tonight, the RISP numbers are good again, and those baserunners are scoring in bunches. I don't know the exact numbers, but it HAD to be somewhere near 0-30 for the Cubs w/ RISP in that whole series vs the Astros before they finally did something about it late last night. That's a little more than just "a little bad luck". Considering we've been hitting awfully well with RISP over the past 2 months, it very well may have been just that.

Ned Yost is an idiot for leaving him in to get shelled like this. Their pen has been used and abused. Someone had to take the beating. NOT your stud rookie under any circumstance. Our pen is fine. Marmol is lights out Howry has been great after a terrible start Wuertz is ok Dempster was great until the injury and should be able to find it Woody if yesterday was any indication will be fine. We need offense and we need it badly.
