Ball State and Miami are two of the worst teams in the MAC, but the Cards are a little less worse. I expect Ball State to improve to 3-3 in the conference. So if Navy didn't help them Notre Dame probably wouldn't be around? I hate Navy now by association ;)

Splitting the two-step hurt the margin for error in this two game stretch(v. OU, @ Nebraska). The crowd should be great, OU plays only it's second road game of the year and it's first without Peterson, and Mizzou has wiped out every opponent it has played at home. Plz win Mizzou. I still can't believe we lost that A&M game. That's gonna bother me for a long time.

Finally, a win that could get Missouri some respect and shoot us up in the rankings. Of course, we'll hear the "they didn't have Peterson, so it's not that impressive" statements. Mizzou by 2 scores.

Interesting, Nebraska #15. They are good, no doubt, but they haven't impressively beat anyone in conference. A bad KU team by only 7, a bad Iowa State team by only 14, and a meh K-State team by only 18. They are good, and I'd rank them higher than Missouri at this point (just because they have played USC and UT tough), but I don't think they're a top 15 team. I see them losing two of the next three games: on the road against a solid Oklahoma State, home vs. Missouri, and on the road against A&M.

Fears confirmed. No AD = no passing Well, you'll have more time to try, Brian Smith fractured his hip today and is done until bowl season. Damn, I saw him being helped off, was hoping it was just an ankle or something. Good thing we're deep on the line, but it's tough to lose a Lombardi Finalist.

I hate Missouri. here, here! You gonna make the trip down to Columbia for the game, snood? i just moved to LA, so no. I probably wouldn't anyway. Daniels is gomma light us up. You move around a lot it seems.

Baylor just scored with 1:15 left to take a 36-35 lead over Kansas. Baylor has scored 19 points in the fourth quarter to take that lead after being down 35-17 at half.

I hate Missouri. I'd expect nothing less. And I hate Ron Prince with a burning passion for using his timeouts. I just now am getting feeling back in my fingers. Did you stay the whole game? I left once Coleman fumbled, I stuck it out as long as I could. Yes, I figured if I stayed that long I might as well see it through. On a humorous note, Marcus Woods has one carry that he has fumbled away to the defense in each of the last two games. Woods is awful. It's nice seeing TT finally running North and South instead of East and West. I still love JJ though.

Mizzou gets their first win in 13 years vs. KSU, 41-21. The defense played exceptionally well, only gave up 14 of those points, all late, the other 7 were on a fumble return for a TD on the first play of the game. Forced 4 turnovers, and Chase Daniel goes for 4 passing TDs. Great win for Mizzou in the pouring rain and horrible weather.

1 hour 52 minutes until kickoff. Huge game for Mizzou, can't be hungover from last weekend's loss, we gotta come out and knock em on their asses. People are calling KSU one of the Big 12 sleepers this year, I honestly don't see it. Mizzou win's by 3 TDs.

Speaking of Ball St, a friend of mine who goes to NIU came across this article last night: http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061020/SPORTS/610200466/-1/ZONES04 I thought the NCAA got rid of the 15K attendance policy, but I guess that's not the case. Not only does Ball St. seem to be in trouble, but about half of the conference (I think something like 3/4's of the conference this year) can't draw 15K to a game. The only teams that can easily outdraw 15K a game are NIU and Toledo. Central Michigan, the best team in the MAC West, only had 11K at their game against Bowling Green a few nights ago. The whole conference is basically screwed if the NCAA enforces this policy. I'm getting a dead link there...

I'm not the biggest fan of this signing, but anyone who comes in and says "I want A-Rod" just hours after he was announced as manager makes me warm up to him a little bit. -
We got screwed, but I mostly blame Franklin for that play. He started running towards the sideline, then came back towards the middle of the field, and he slowed up significantly. You gotta hang on to that ball and keep running full speed. Stupid play there. Also, some of the WORST play calling I've ever seen. I don't mind the Fake FG, but don't back yourself up 5 yards before doing it. It's weird, Pinkel threw too much with Brad Smith at QB, and he runs too much with Chase Daniel under center. 4th and 2, I'm running a play to Rucker or Coffman. If I'm gonna go for it inside the 10, I'm not gonna fake, I'm gonna send my offense out there and let Daniel fire a bullet in there to someone. I said at the beginning of the year I'd be happy to split the Texas Two-Step, but I'm really disappointed. We could've easily been 9-0 going into Nebraska. But, undefeated in college football is so hard. We gotta man up, and come out and hit these next two teams at home in the mouth. Barring a Mizzou Meltdown, we should go 10-2 at the worst, get into a very good bowl game, and finish in the top 25 to end the season.

I'm with you man. I can't wait for Saturday. I'm nervous about this game, but no more so than I was against Texas Tech. I think Missouri can pull this one out IF the defense can stop the run. M-I-Z! Z-O-U! I wasn't that nervous about Tech, mainly because I knew they were fairly one dimensional. I don't really know what to expect from A&M, but their giant RB scares me, and their home field advantage could benefit them greatly. We need a vintage Daniel-led first drive of the game to get them right out of it.

After the Bears clinch the #1 seed, I don't want the starters playing more than a half in each game. 16-0 would be great, but I don't want an injury in a pointless game to cost a chance at the Super Bowl.

Is it Saturday yet? I'm so pumped for this Mizzou-A&M game, but as time goes on, the more nervous I get. Maybe it's because between the Bears, Cubs, and Mizzou, I always get set up for disappointment. I can't wait for this weekend.
