    actually i read that soriano might be in right with jones moved to center and murton in left. not a bad idea if jones can handle center. Piniella just said on the radio that Hendry is now going after a CF and SP

    I'm still holding out hope that we sign Drew and trade Jones, and/or sign Lugo for SS. If we can add one or two of the decent SPs that are available (Padilla, Westbrook), we have a real contender next year.

    The belief is that he's better batting leadoff. We'll see. I like him 5th behind Lee and Ramirez, with Murt hitting 2nd and hopefully Julio Lugo batting 1st at SS (SB Tribune reported today that the Cubs are hot for Lugo). If we can land Lugo for SS and move Izturis out of here (or at least keep him on the bench) and lead Lugo off, this is a very good offense.
